Umm, Mountain Dew is produced by the Pepsi corporation, not Coke. Sorry, but I just got a job for pepsi.
Well then get on with reintroducing MD to the UK matey, you've got no time to waste. In fact I don't want to see you on the forums again until you've suceeded. You have your mission sir, God Speed.
Not sure about petrol, but it has a distinct smell of hospitals about it. It's one of those things I love, I'm just not sure why...
No Mountain Dew - what products do you have access to...... Maybe I should charter a private plane over and make some cash - like smuggling cocaine except not near as exciting.
Well, there goes my Christmas money There are so many American foods/drinks that I miss - A&W root beer being the primary one (just add caffeine and I would never drink anything else again tbh), but get me graham crackers/IBC cream soda/a Dunkin' Donuts down the street and I'd be even happier
I curse the day they stopped selling Mountain DEw over here, I don't really understand why they did stop selling it since my trade alone must have been more than worth it Now whenever one of my mates goes over to the U.S. I always ask for some MD as a present, but now i've seen that site I'll be blowing a big wedge of student loan on a crate or two of MD - that's how much I miss it, i'm willing to pay that much for it!! Sad really But yeah, any entreupenerial American's out there fancy running their own import business i'll buy some
I'd say it tastes more like melons + limes myself. Mountain dew is ok when it's out of a can, and really cold. For some reason when I have it out of plastic bottles it tastes a lot different. Coke for example, tastes BEST out of a plastic bottle. 2-liters especially. I stopped drinking soda about 6 months ago though. I have it on occasion, when I go out to eat and don't want to get water or alcohol. Soda is real bad for you especially if you exercise a lot. Someone mentioned liking a&w root beer a lot but wishing it had caffeine. A&W is some great root bear, don't get me wrong, but Barq's is the most ultimate. And yes, it does have a fair amount of caffeine in it as well. It's much "smoother" than A&W with a more distinct flavor.
Actually, I agree with that. Coke is very rarely sold in glass bottles anymore, and it's been a while since I've bought it that way. I usually get some of the holiday bottles from my sister for christmas, but she knows I stopped drinking it, so she got me something else.
ah ha! now that's something the UK does have, coke in a glass bottle all year round... AMEN large supermarket chains! edit: i think this was my 200th post.. joy!
anyone want to trade? if someone wants to send me some of this I will pay the difference and send you whatever soda you want. In fact - I will pay for the soda and the Balvenie and the shipping. (this is the 1973 vintage - the last vintage you were able to buy in the US was the 1966 vintage, and I haven't seen any in 3 years. )
coke out of glass bottles is readily available, although i cant tell the difference between that and a plastic bottle really (not that ive sat down and tried to) its not like beer out of cans and beer on draught, cos thats too easy to tell! mountain dew is the tits, its all i had when i went to canada and we used to go to subway a lot (also very cheap over there compared to home ) and just have like two cups of dew and then one as i was leaving so i could bop off with a bit round wherever i was! hasnt root beer got malt in it or something, thats how someone described the taste to me, its not that bad although its an acquired taste too i guess. wouldnt mind drinking it though, its not that bad!
