in the last weeks i spent some time on trying something new.... i try to create some structures from uv active acrylic which should look like Real Ice....here a few shots from my first try 1. Try 2. Try what do you think on this? is it worth to make some more experiments or does it look like crap for you????
What is it its sorta looks interesting. BTW looks like winter has set in with all that frozen snail snot.
Nice! it doesn't look like ice, though. You should make some cind of 3D sculpture of that. How did you make that?
no it is real solid acrylic material....it´s the same material like a sheet of uv reactive plexiglas which is used to make a pc window.....it´s just used in another way.... its made with an machine which heats up the raw material and put it out as a string, tube or solid rod......
nope no glue gun.......but it´s a good example how it work......but the raw material is not a solid rod it´s a granulate and then there come the string out of it like it comes out a glue gun....
Ok! U should make somekind of moulding in form of ice-taps or blocks, and then fill them with acrylic... Were can I find one of those?!
Looks good but I have to agree...it doesn't look as much like ice as it could. Sharper edges and "pointier" ends would help. I like the overall effect though!
Thank you very much guys, your really helping me with your good ideas! i will try to make a form with sharper edges and try it again......later when i find the "right" way to build some really good looking ice structures i will add them to my Online Shop (just click my sig) but that will take some developement time......
Its called extruding acyrlic bute instead off cooling it straight it strings it like spagetti I wish I had one that would be great for alot of things.
