I used to make ninja throwing stars out of CD's... They are actually seriously sharp if you did it right. A slight cross wind and my friend forehead preach the truth.
200 sounds like nothing after working in a CD/DVD-factory. There I really wondered what to do with the thousands and thousands of disks thrown away because of flaws on the prints.
could be done my modifying a cd-rom to have somewhat of a release mechanism. spin it up to 10k+ then let her fly

The one time I exploded a CD it taught me never to do it again - I'd found a shard embedded in a door.
I'm liking that exploding CD thingy. Hook heaps of them up on top of a skyscraper and rain cd bits on top of the people walking underneath!
they would reach their terminal velocity, and probably decelerate after the explosion, still would kinda hurt though
