    Hi,
I'm having a bizarre problem where I can wake an ubuntu server machine over my LAN, and also when using the gprs connection on my phone (when in the house, but not on the wifi). However right now I'm miles away from home, and no matter what I try, the server isn't turning on.

Can anyone think of any differences between the internet service received from an Orange mobile network at location x, and one ~100 miles away at y, that could be affecting things? I don't think my router settings are at fault, however I've also tried several online WOL tools (Depicus etc.) and none of them work from where I currently am, but they didn't at home either... very strange :grr:

Thanks for any help in troubleshooting this!
