From, http://www.legitreviews.com/news/11886/ So, a really really nice F1 type wheel, with no stand, no pedals....christ. If it could be mounted on some sort of stand that gave a certain amount of resistance I would use it, but I would also have to use some old pedals, because those other paddles should be mapped to clutch if anything.
Buy cutting edge racing sim, pair it with glorified Wiimote. So many low cost steering wheels with pedals for PC why would anyone choose this over them, its not even cheap. Also, my arms would ache like crazy holding that up for so long.
If it includes the features and functions of a high end wheel there force feedback system must be mighty impressive.
It is like Microsoft dumping the excellent MS Wheel for that abhoration they call the Speed Wheel. In a lot of respects we are going backwards in gaming and not forwards. In their strive to grab the casual and social gamer they are forgetting what a lot of traditional gamers like. Every and all attempts to sell a wireless wheel have failed in the past - it's a gimmick and an attempt to grab cash quick.
I just don't like this type of free floating wheel, I agree that you get tired from holding the damn thing up for prolonged periods.
Correct, however I'm guessing it's just an iPhone esq reversed view. You'll notice on downshift he's using the right-hand pedal when normally it would be left. Still a poor result from SteelSeries - I heard word that they were doing something a while back, however was anticipating a proper wheel, not this Wii alternative.
