Spare a thought for those of us who were here before there was even a GPU client, or SMP for that matter. It took the rest of us years Anyway, good work guys on us finally passing the 1 million mark.
Well done us. It may be a bit of a false dawn but judging by the last 3 updates on kakao stats, it actually looks like our ppd is on the up - 400K in the last 24 hrs.
folding on a 1.8 opty was painful - made my PS3 look like a super computer by comparison (and the x1900xt 256mb folding was a buggy joke)
Well done team! Can't say I didn't think we'd hit this sooner but a million points in a couple of days is something to definately be proud of the uppage in PPD is partially down to my efforts over the past few days. I have had a total of 6 cards and 2 VM SMP clients folding for the past 48 hours, spitting out more than 20K in total at their peak! What I'm running is listed below. Keep up the good work everyone! Rig 1 - 2x GPU clients, 1x VM SMP client 2x 320MB 8800GTS heavily OC - 720 core, 1010 memory (achieved with Accelero 8800 Xtreme's & Aircon) C2D E6400 @ 2.5Ghz 2GB OCZ PC2-8500 Reaper HPC RAM Gigabyte GA965P-DS4 Motherboard Rig 2 - 2x GPU clients, 1x VM SMP client 2x 384MB 8800GS's (thanks JackOfAll ) Athlon 64 X2 3.0Ghz 2GB OCZ PC2-8500 Reaper HPC RAM ASUS SLI motherboard Rig 3 - 1x GPU client, 1x standard CPU client 512MB 9800GT - Stock (have an Accelero Xtreme 9800 for it so I can OC, not yet installed) Athlon 64 single core AM2 (lol) 2.6Ghz 2GB Corsair RAM Micro ATX Biostar A740G M2+ Motherboard Rig 4 - 1x GPU client, 1x VM SMP client 512 Sapphire 4850 - W/C & Heavily OC C2D E6600 - W/C & OC @ ~2.93Ghz 2GB OCZ PC2-8500 Reaper HPC RAM Biostar TPower series motherboard Basically I'm folding on everything I've got that's worth it at the moment! :O Rig 3 used to be my media PC but I removed it's low power graphics card and slammed that 9800 in there - I have a second PSU hotwired and giving it auxiliary power Sorry for potentially hijacking the thread, I'm just very excited about being able to produce so many PPD for the challenge, until I get my farm built in a cpl of months this is the most points you're likely to see from me.
2,000,000 and still going. It feels as if we reached this milestone quicker than the last - is the team PPD increasing? At this rate the CPChimps will overtake me sometime tomorrow
Not to worry CNL, with your new and improved ppd, you'll catch up in no time On the bright side our ppd does appear to be slowly increasing and I've managed to resist the temptation to game. Maintained production of about 145K per day so far. Not so good is another surprise visit from the in-laws which means I've had to shut down a rig I'll have to find a way to make it up
Move out Then you can do what I do, run a rig in almost every room of the house :O It's NOISY in my place at the moment! My production being upped can't have hurt things, here's hoping we can keep this good rate of prod up
Team rank - Name 78 - Arthur_Buse 79 - CPChimps 2,016,671 according to Stanford (after taking off the 82,349 gained before the start) The following points per day are from the http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com site, which confirm we are picking up a bit more steam. Wednesday 373,911 ppd 449 wu Thursday 344,906 ppd 405 wu Friday 417,848 ppd 521 wu Saturday 425,951 ppd 482 wu Edit: Congratulations to OCNChimpin of overclock.net for scoring 20 million and winning the Chimp Challenge.
I have temporarily switched from OCN to here cause I want to see the 20000000 reached. I don't get that many PPD like some of the others but while there are some powerful systems there at OCN, the precipitation in the challenge was 85-95% folders contributing to the challenge. there where a bit over 100 folders; some with even lower ppd than me, that were giving their all putting all gaming on hold and I even during the challenge paused mine for a bit to rid the withdrawals but I would like to see this team thru to the finish if the team here is going to keep folding to 20mil.
Your funeral dude... Prepare to be flamed. On a happier note though, welcome to CPC's folding forum and the Bit-Tech community! EDIT: I'm the grammar nazi over here at BT, so to be fair you had this coming... You guys had bad weather over at OCN whilst the challenge was on? We Brits had sun and blue sky the whole time!
I don't want to seem rude, but please see the posts towards the bottom of this page http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=167141&page=6
Very well no rudeness taken. My points will not go thru I dont think and have been modified back to OCN (my home) I may still visit here and I hope I didn't upset anyone with the offer to help since it was going to be points for Stanford anyway my folding will still run. Peace.
