Ironically Labour do not outspend the Conservatives vs size of the economy (excluding the banking crises, just as I wouldn't include COVID support). Funnily enough if you invest in the public services and the most deprived you reduce your overall spending rather than spaffing it to your mates in private companies. It's somewhere Labour (Ed Miliband in particular) allowed the tories to set the agenda of austerity that even the IMF told them it was self destructive and therefore ultimately politically driven. Edit: dire grammar and typos XD
You're quite correct. The impression is that Labour were always the spenders and crap on tax when the reality is that it's the Tories. Not entirely sure I wrote it like that, maybe I just missed the word 'impression' out. I was on holiday. Tories do seem adept at syphoning out public money to private companies that then have to be bailed out by the taxpayer, and/or to chums.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-62715983 Running and hiding from the BBC, truly the Boris continuity candidate. When things like this happen, they really should run the 'interview' anyway with the interviewer talking to an empty chair as he/she tears apart everything the absent party ever said. But of course that won't happen, they're too scared of losing the license fee.
Unfortunately the poor old BBC are just stuck on their way to being a governmental mouth-piece... RIP
This site: https://www.markpack.org.uk/155623/voting-intention-opinion-poll-scorecard/ offers figures from ten different pollsters and, includes timing of the fieldwork. The 17% Labour lead figure seems like an outlier.
They'll probably try and change boundaries so 25% could win. PR please. The Tories would have still won the last election on PR but not had a disproportionate number of MPs.
Extraordinary to think, if this list proves to be correct, we will have a Home Secretary who is worse than the present one.
Same can be said of the PM... No doubt this one will be scuppered by the actions of Boris Johnson too. The Dunning-Kruger cabinet.
Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date I hear Truss now wants to ditch employment rights. Longer hours, less holidays and something BoJo said wouldn't be done after Brexit. Do they want to lose the election? Oh hang on, yes, create an absolute sewage swimming mess of it all for twelves years and let the cleaners come in.
