ive been working on the internals now and i came up with this solution for the mainboard and hdd.

this somehow reminds me of the soul cube.... mind you that's coming from a doom 3 fanatic. suspenseful and reminds me of aliens. y'know the film...

great etching. any guides on how to do this amount of detail?

 

Awesome, my boss has one of the movie size props on his desk, very cool!

Question: will you be filling in the etchings with gold paint or the surface with gold film? Or will you leave it with the dark film under the plexi?

 

So sexy, you must have such patience for that engraving

 

My intentions from the start was goldleaf in the etchings but that didnt work, then i tried goldpaint and that didnt work. And now ive decided that ill go with the black and white instead because i think it looks quite good as it is

Been working on the base and the internal stuff so heres some pictures

The harddrive needed some paint

And the discdrive aswell


Ive finished the rear fanholes

And the front has been given a hole and a tinted plexiplate for the lcd display that will be scrolling alot of evil messages


This was all for now. The next update will contain a lifesize plastic head,nails,paint,plaster and some pure evil

Wolverine, was that design for the panels a freehand sketch or a printout? Still man, that work is uber-awesome! Great idea on the window-tint, very original!

 

It was done with a printout of the original sides. I had to do each side in 4 sections since my printer doesnt handle 40x40cm printouts very well

 

That is one of the cooler cases I have seen, I thought your last pc with the etchings was good. Awesome

 

-=Little update=-

Im getting there slowly My new mainboard arrived today a Asus P4s800-mx and a 120mm aluminium fan for the cpu. Next friday i will get the last parts needed to complete this case! weeeee Finally! The base is almost completely done now ive installed the 4x20 lcd and 2x80mm rear fans. heres some pictures of how it looks tday






if all goes as planned this case will be completed in two weeks

 

wow that looks absoluty stunning, just lovely, love the window tint looks mad crazy and uber sweet

*edit* by the way the HDD and CD-ROM painting looks so good with the Red Lightning

Ive got some pretty outrageous plans wich will be realized in the next few days. Ive got a lifesize male head from a manequin that will be airbrushed and fitted with Nails and blood The head will be hollowed out and fitted over the harddrive. So when the lights come on youll se pinhead himself starring at you from within the case Red leds will be used to make his eyes glow. The head is currently beeing shipped to me and work will start on friday.
So expect a pretty wierd update in the following week

Today i decided that my celeron 1,7 needed some cooling so i went totally nuts and went for the ultraoverkill deluxe cooler My first thougt when i saw the cooler mounted was...Hmmm i might have to add som ledweights for the cube so that it wont take off




And tomorrow my manequin head arrives!!! That should be great fun, ive never made a pinhead before
