    Hi,
    is it just me or has anybody else been a little disappointed with the 2142 demo?
    I think that when the unlocks come in to play it is bound to improve the game no end but after all the hype I was kinda....I dunno .... expecting more!

    Perhaps I was just in a grumpy mood last night, I mean the graphics are an awesome improvement given it is the same engine as BF2 and Titan mode is a great new gameplay concept but I just shut down my machine last night feeling a little bit empty. :confused:

    What does anybody else who pre-ordered and got the 24 hour early access think?

    56min left on my download, TBH I had no idea it was out yet and it seems not many others do either, I found out by a banner on fileShack.

    im on filecloud with 15mins to wait in que for download...i hope it doesnt screw me over since i dont have a membership and waste time.

    Better than the 1.8GB Company of Heroes was, but that was worth the wait.

    When people download it could you tell me if it is worth downloading, can you play it online at all? Can't be bothered to download it if it isn't worth it.

    Played it for a good while back in august at i28, personally I thought it was pretty bad, just BF2 with mech warriors/fancier guns and a really bad new gamemode (titan) it was fairly early beta but still, oh and random crashes ahoy for everybody, including the server :)

    Many popular torrent sites are now hosting the demo, if you are fed up with Fileplanet or Gamespot.

    it felt alot like halo imo.

    the mechs are really scary when you a foot solider but i thing theyre sort of nerfed. also i dont really like the feel of flying. The jets in bf2 feel alot more like flying than the things in this

    Imteresting, played for all of 5mins before the game crashed.

    It still takes ages loading. tho it did look pretty.

    The performance is slightly better than BF2, but the netcode, weapon handling, vehicle balance and overall feel are just as bad.

    I'm undecided on the gameplay so far.

    I liked the BF games for the real world (ish) setting. I'm not really liking the look or setting for this one in comparison. It all looks a bit generic and bland. They should have made it either less far future and more cyberpunky, or gone really dark and psuedo-fascist a la the WH40K games.

    The world would be better off if people were still playing 1942 and DC/DCE imo.
