I really hope this doesn't annihilate my 7850, I really couldn't face waiting any longer :)

Haven't tried yet but it is meant to OC a fair bit. Might give it a go tomorrow, but I don't want temps or noise to go up too much :/

It's weird they'd retain the 2GB memory despite the reduced bus. I was expecting something like 1536MB of VRAM given the linear reduction in Bus width.

I don't know how reliable these benchies are but if it's true, then I just might buy myself a GTX580 once these puppies come out. :D

    $125 GTX580s here we go!

I nearly bought a bargain 580 with waterblock only a few days ago, but the wife kiboshed the deal.

I've been tempted by a few cheap 580s but have cried off buying them because the 660 is so close to launch, especially if it's power consumption is going to be as low as expected.

Looks like I'm waiting for next pay day and the official launch.

That's the thing, while power consumption is pretty helpful, I never use my PC long enough to justify the price difference. If I can get a GTX580 at ~50% of a GTX 660Ti then technically I still save money given the rare and few times I actually use my computer for gaming in the long run.

If it's in idle, it doesn't exactly suck up power anyways. Power consumption isn't very relevant unless you have bad thermals or you use your computer very often at load. Well to me it's not so relevant. I can't say for everyone else. The 660Ti looks tasty, but at my HD6850 range, anything is tasty given the fact that even $150 can double my performance.

Wow... that is epic looking. Makes me think though... perhaps a vanilla 660 or 650 will be enough at my res of 1080p!

Nah.... this is the card for me when it graces the stores and I am no longer saving for a holiday!

I'm waiting for this card six month allready...

Reference nonOC cards with a single 6-pin and only some 120Watts max and more powerful then a 7850.... yeah baby.

Now either AMD drops their 7850 OC to $200 or they'll not sell a single card in the mid-range.

Seems like Nvidia doesn't have a midrange chip. Given that this was their midrange chip..

Hmm, so it'll push down HD7950 prices? It will push down prices for sure but not as much as we'd want. Or I'd want anyways. What i will say though is that If they put this at $250. The entire market would be on this.

No way is that the standard retail price. Who would buy it when a 670 can be had for £15-£20 more?

Hmmm maybe I should have waited before getting the 7850. But I had itchy fingers and couldn't help it

I'm looking forward to this, as I'm hoping it'll be another golden card like my 5870 :D Asus DirectCU2 and a waterblock and I'm set. All this just to play Minecraft...
