Anyone else finding bt slow lately

At the risk of repeating myself, servers are sometimes fast, sometimes slow. We know it's annoying for you, it's annoying for us too. Thanks. John.

 

In fairness John, whilst Dennis might have ****ed the site beyond all recognition, there were never multiple "bad gateway" errors a day. Or ever.

There is something wrong with something, somewhere. I'm not an expert as you can probably tell.

 

Cat and me both agree with Shirty on this there's something not quite right.

 

Gotta agree with the others, there's something amiss, somewhere.

We are aware there are problems. We are aware there are issues. We are investing our money into improving the site. Quite a lot of it.

It's not massively helpful to keep pointing out the same issue, we are working on the site. it's not a conspiracy, it's not to make your life difficult, it's certainly not because we like reading in the forums that we're somehow conspiring to make using the site difficult.

We've bought a huge, huge site. We've already made lots of improvements. We've invested in creating more editorial content to give you more to read. We're working on having bit-tech days so you can all meet up and see/ use the latest tech before anyone else. We're doing all this with a ton of effort and time and whilst making sure it's all free to use.

Please cut us some slack whilst we get it right.

It's niggling, when you feel the need to post and can't share your wisdom immediately (yeah that was sarcasm ) but let's get real about this; these guys seem to be doing a far better job than Dennis did.

 

It's niggling when I've just spent ten minutes bashing out a post on my phone and then I hit post only to be taken to an error screen

NO WAY! a post that isn't in "keep one, change one" - quick you better get back there and bloat your post count some more, as currently, it only accounts for half of all your posts you have ever made.

^ this. Going forward in this thread can we please refrain from going on about the same things over and over again. All your comments have been noted and are being worked through, the staff are doing everything they can and digging deep to keep our awesome forum about, so please give them the respect they deserve and only post new issues in here that you come across.

 

Yeah yeah I know. I've been slowly trying to get back into the groove.

And no. It's closer to a third, believe it or not(still a rather large portion, I know). I DO happen to post in other parts of the forums. I've merely strayed away from posting in the serious topics, seeing as my temper is a tad too short for debates just yet. I've mainly been posting in KOCO as it keeps me coming to the forums, even if only to lurke mostly.

On another note, good to know they're being worked on. Seems snappy today for me at least.

The dedicated server looks like it has done the trick - the forums are running much better now. In fact this is probably the quickest I've seen them in years.

Yeah saw that "Moving server" last night does that really mean bt has a new server?

 

I would assume so Tel. The forums are really snappy now, moreso than under Dennis and that makes me a happy camper for one.
