    out of interest

Why do USB HDD's and HDD's get grouped into the same catagory, but NAS HDD's are in a seperate catagory

if you are shopping, and you add a filter that leaves you with no results, you get a "no results found" page, however all your filters are hidden so you cant modify them further without going back or whatever

Searching for the BenQ FP202W, it comes up with three results all of which are the same monitor, one has incorrect resolution (1580 x 1050) another is BenQ BenQ FP202W. This is probably due to the way those particular sites have it listed.

Thanks - I'll get this fixed.

I have now created a dedicated email address for fast-tracking any gitches in the matrix, err, I mean bit-tech Shopping. If you spot something that's incorrectly listed, please email: shopping AT bit-tech.net.

The new email hotline will go direct to me.

    Just to clarify -

Post technical issues (it doesnt work), questions (can we have feature XYZ?) and comments (i hate it) in this thread

The only stuff that should be sent to the email address is corrections (such as products appearing in the wrong category, products named incorrectly), please use the email address, as that's the stuff i don't need to deal with :thumb:

I don't know if this is within your control but can you add another shop to your lists - novatech.com

I do find that every so often their prices are lower than other etailers. Not just that but if its cheap I can just pop down the road to get it :D

    RTT: You're code can't count.

I did a search for 256MB SODIMM PC133 and on the "Category Matches" it says it's found 5 matches.

But there's only two products, with 8 individual matches between them.

I'm not sure whether I may be missing something here, but some of the price ranges appear to be wrong, e.g.:

    http://shopping.bit-tech.net/UK/product/16823960/Kingston_1GB_Secure_Digital_Card/
Price range listed as £5.40 - £28.00, yet the lowest price is £6.05

    http://shopping.bit-tech.net/UK/product/20723359/SanDisk_Extreme_III_2GB_Secure_Digital_Card/
Price range listed as £16.29 - £64.99, yet the lowest price is £18.85

Also the Tokina 12-24mm f4 lens isn't listed, which I am going to buy soon, any chance of it appearing in the next couple of weeks?

The lowest prices are excluding shipping, the lowest total price are the ones they're graded by.

As ElThomsono said, and as the sentence says, the price range is 5.40-28.00 plus delivery where applicable. This covers for the fact that sometimes you may be able to pick up an item at a shop and skip delivery charges.

I'll get the Tokina lens added for you if possible :thumb:

    ShopMagenta.com

A couple of products I have searched for (8800 GTS 640, Antec P180) show Magenta as the best price. Not a company I've used before, but I thought I'd have a look. In both cases, the price listed on their website is higher than the price on bit-tech shopping. As an example, Antec P180 shows cheapest price as Magenta - £76.43 before shipping, while Magenta's website lists it as £79.49. Are they cheekily reporting artificially low prices to drive traffic to their site, where they hope people won't notice prices are a few pounds higher?

Other example - PNY GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB Video Card - Magenta price according to bit-tech shopping = £257.54, price from link £267.84.

It's annoying - I plan to boycott them if this happens again. Perhaps bit-tech or PriceGrabber needs to warn them off? Or is there another explanation?

Thanks, we'll get right on it. They'll be punished if they're deliberately cheating the system
