Not now, but it would be nice to game on my sofa, and I could connect it to my TV, and AV system.

We shall see...but you may be right. :D

In my experience of dell, they will send an engineer to fix the problem and not rma. I had a massive go at our account manager over a similar thing with a laptop that arrived in less than prime condition. Didn't get anywhere though. Still had to be repaired by an engineer, and I had a corporate account behind me. It made no difference to the outcome though, which was a working laptop so I was fairly happy.

Im sure it will. I would imagine that the quality control is much higher on a 2.4k laptop than a 330 quid mass production item. Also to be fair I have only really had 2 issues with faulty on arrival gear from Dell in 7 years

In my experience with Dell the estimated delivery date is usually that... Estimated. My most recent order (XPS 15 L502x) came a week before the ETA and only four days after I ordered it. Was built within a couple of days, the rest of the time was spent watching UPS tracker across China and Eastern Europe before arriving at my work 24 hours after leaving the factory.

Never had any prolems with any Dell I've bought.

Wish I was waiting for an M18x and ll those other goodies, can't wait to see the pics and benchmarks and it isn't even mine!!! :)

Got the M17xr3 mate, loving it. Upgraded the ram and added a SSD keeping my eye on the 680's at the mo. Get the max warranty you can get for it.

    Yep, I did the same! 16GB 1600mhz RAM, and 3 256GB SSD's. :)

Now looking into getting a Anti Glare Screen protector, as I'm not fond of glossy screens.

Also had to buy a 600w inverter for the truck. (24v - 240), so I can charge the laptop, as they don't do a normal cigarette socket plug adaptor. (Probably due to the 330W brick).

All in all, this Laptop has/will set me back £3K total. :) (I will be locking the cab of my truck every time I get out!). :D

I'm thinking of chucking in a 3920XM, so if you would like, you could buy the 3720QM off me. (It will work in your socket) :)

One thing I love about my M11x (its not much good for games other than source) is the build quality. You simply cannot get a laptop as bombproof without going for a toughbook or similar. Mine gets thrown around at parties for spotify and the like and still looks good as new
