It's a fairly copper-ish colour already. I suppose I could get one a bit more accurate though yeah :)

I have plenty of spare time now since I have very little social life due to financial constraints at the moment, so it looks like I have Sketchup and replaying Final Fantasy X to get me through xmas. Might do a network card tomorrow :)

Hehe, it looks sand coloured to me. That's the default exterior colour in sketchup. The default interior is a pale blue.

Yeah I know it is just the default colour, but it's not a huge way off copper anyway.

Hehe, I've tried e107 but never figured out how to change all the menus and admin stuff. All the labels were all default names

Hehe thats how I do it anyway. I think its because my FTP client is set to convert to lowercase... I'm reuploading at the moment with the case preserved to see if it works. Tried just the language files but it's still a bit odd.

Try this. Open photoshop if you have it. Make a new farily large sized image w/White background. Select the gradient tool, and select the preset gradient "Copper". Drag it across the entire screen and you're done. Save as a .jpg, import as another color into sketchup, and paint away!

Well, indeed, though I expect I could come up with a more convincing texture than that :)

oh yeah, you can also add some noise, and then motion blur the gradient for a nice brushed copper finish.

Nice models. Isn't the Vantec Nexus meant to be for a 5.12" bay? The ports look a little on the large side large.

I don't know if these'll be of any use, but there seem to be a handful of arcade controller projects in the logs board (including mine :)) so here's a couple of controller models i mad in sketchup:

Both models are in the rar. The sizes are right, but the shapes aren't perfect, as i don't know how to bevel edges etc in sketchup (the top on the joystick knob is basically 720 (iirc) semicircles 0.5 degrees from each other, there must be a better way?)

Anyway, they might be useful, but if this is out of place (ie not strictly computer components) feel free to ask me to remove this post ;)
