Probably my TNT2 just because nothing else has given me that "wow" factor when I first used it. Seeing dynamic lighting in Quake 2 for the first time was an experience I'll never forget. Made CTF so much easier having red and blue lighting for each base. Wow. :D

After that; my current 6600GT is obviously the best card I've owned power wise, but my 9800SE AIW was the best all round card. Solid 3D performance backed up by VIVO. What more could you want? (Well, dual DVI actually, hence why it got sold).

im thinking nVidia Riva128, because it was back in the day when everyone had 3dFX cards and nVidia was pretty unknown, and it owned pretty much anything in D3D :D

iirc it was nvidia's first 3d card? one of the first on agp as well i think

My 6800GT wins, hands down. Probably my favourite card that I had to save up for the longest, and was the biggest graphics upgrade I've had was my GF3 ti200 which I got as soon as it was released :p

GF4 Ti4200, its gotta be. Great little card, handled anything thrown at it with ease. Overclocks like a moster too, great little thing. Need to get it back out and benching sometime soon too....

Ti4200, OCed superbly and wasn't too expensive. Held out for a long time until that damn power spike came along a few years back.

IS this based on "wow" factor or is this the most powerful video card in our possession? In which case, both of these are met by my 9800 Pro :D

My best card is easily my XTPE-modded X800Pro...but as for my favourite, it's gotta be the good old Riva TNT :D Those things would survive a nuclear winter and still run.

That or my trusty 9800Pro, it's one of the largest amounts of money I've ever spent on anything, and to this day I don't regret impulse-buying it one bit.

I'm loving my 6600GT. I'm not a rich guy so this card has nice performance for a nice price. Now all I need is a monitor that isn't blurry :D

When I went from a true-blue IBM CGA card in an XT to Hercules EGA in a 286. Thought I had died and gone to heaven.

I haven't tried the softmod yet, but the previous owner said it won't work :/
    But it'll do 1280x1024/75hz w/ 2xAA 2xAF and thats great for me ;)

Well I think the biggest WOW effect was when I got my 9700 PRO (after my GF3 card died on me for reasons unknow) that card enabled me to play any game on an old dual PIII rig, until last month when I did a complete upgrade (new MB, CPU the works) and got my self a 850XT which is insanely fast :D

Thinking about it. After that TNT2, the next card I bought was a £285 Asus GeForce 2 GTS (with 3D glasses!). That was awesome. mmmm, 3D Quake 3. :hip:

My FX 5900XT by MSI, my 2800+ Barton cannot keep up with that card.

I guess it has to be an Asus GF3 V8200 Deluxe with the 3d glasses.

It was an absolute fortune at the time but it was awesome fun playing Colin McRae and Deus Ex for hours on end with X-Ray specs on.............good good times!
