and here we go again with a small update. idecided to change the primary weapon hydraulic cylinder pistons a bit. as you ma have noticed they were once bike ait pumps. now they rae the parts that hold the front together with the primary weapon slide back rife on off switch at the top.
i decided to cover the slide rod with sticky chome to make it look like the real ones even more.
even the filthiest bulldozer is always wiped clean and shiny on the hydraulic cylinder so its better. here are the results.

    next post final pics

hi guys, so i have finally completed THE DARK KNIGHT.
its all wired up and working, didnt make many fotos of that because its usually boring for you.
but the pictures after that are so much more exciting.

THE DARK KNIGHT, TO SERVE AND PROTECT, as the name suggests is s SERVER slid vertically into a self made complex case which is dedicated to BATMAN and expecially the DARK KNIGHT.

I have tried my best not to copy anything and make each element in my own design, while never leaving the theme. in other words you should be able to still see THE DARK KNIGHT theme.

    FEATURES:
the side hydraulic cylinders which were originally bike pumps, really move when i pull back the rifle top to allow the case to be turned on.
the side guns are basically made of sawed off cupboard legs.
the fan cover i reall like and were actually orange juicer filters with littel plastic cones stuck on the fans to give it that jet type look, the cones are from a board game called zauberwald.
the little jets and pipes are actually all just gardena sprikler bits and pieces.
the primary weapon on top is a camera that does a 360 in approx i minute and is powered by a video recorder ejector motor. its mounted on the bearing of a videorecorder tracking head
and coverd underneath with a jam jar lid.
the bat eye headlights which serve as HDD and DVD activity leds wused to be faucet aerators.
the side air intakes are cut from the paper slit intake of a scrapped buero shredder
the sound knobs were moded from old tyre nozzel caps.
the supports bars are all made if screws stuck in plastic tubing and angles plastic end parts, all self made.
one thing swas very important for me, that i can slide the server out the front at will, so i had to derive way of wiring everything just in the front and back with plugs so thst i dont snip off the side wires when pulling it out. it snaps into place with the side snapp clasps i made.
it has over 100 LEDS in it in both red and blue which can be switches. even though servers dont usually have them, theis one does have wirless lan and a soundcard, that why it also has speakers in the side speaker and gun caskets.

all in all i wanted again to show that we dont have to buy, if we modify. i have probably forgotten most of the details and must see the worklog myself too again.
anyway, here are the final pics. i still have to tweak up some bits and pieces and resand the front and paint again because i see some faults there add sound to the side guns which cann be turned on in a stroboscopic burst, otherwise, am pretty much done.. now i will continue THE 67TH BRIGADE, :D i video with all the features will follow soon.

video coming maybe tomorrow or day after..:D

wow guys, i am blushing because of your comments, dunno what to say except for thanks, ist really motivating what you all say.
i have made alittle Video, not the best Quality unfortunately. the pics are better.
but it still took 4 hours to upload because i have such a Pony express broadband Connection here.
if you cannot see any Detail ist the Quality, but you still have the Pictures.

I just have to join in here with the superlatives. Absolutely awesome. I'd seen pics in a couple of Facebook modding groups I'm on and shared this worklog link. (One of them was in French, that was the only way those people had even seen it.) :)
