Thanks for that Kirk. You learn something new every day!

About half a million PPD. I thought that it would be more than that, though maybe the power required is lower than with GPU folding. I still haven't bought an electricity meter yet, so I'm not sure how much juice my cards are using. Could be lots.

    Hi Petaflops.

It can vary wildly depending on which work unit it is processing:

    P8101 - 0:16:28 TPF - 259,943.3 PPD
    P8102 - 0:10:56 TPF - 479,704.1 PPD
    P8103 - 0:11:02 TPF - 471,388.8 PPD
    P8104 - 0:08:01 TPF - 503,982.4 PPD
    P8105 - 0:11:27 TPF - 437,422.8 PPD

Don't have an electricity meter on it, but I don't think its cheap.

Cost wise; Purchased the server rather than built it. Just over £3000. The water cooling itself was just over £700. Deff worth while water cooling it. Air: ~70°C to Water: ~30°C in summer. Now in winter its anywhere from 1°C to 20°C. This might be because my recon unit is on automatic so the fans are at minimum revs. (Saw the temperature down at 1°C when it was sending a work unit back at 6am on a cold cold morning.)

I would hazard a guess that my GPU folding is using more electricity than my 4p Opteron.
