I didn't get this one sanded to perfection either.:sigh: I'm hoping you are as blind as I am, John.

-The seals work.:D This is gunk from the wetsanding. I had to take everything apart to finish the copper block.
-Here's some blurry pics of a finished block #2...
-The grooves 'n stuff took forever to sand.
-I didn't get all the scratches off the top either. Working at night is the likely culprit. I'm a big fan of 40 watt bulbs and darkness.

-You can see I've got it full of antifreeze here. The insides will turn fast if I don't do this.
Now I need to get those barbs. I keep forgetting. I put the motherboard back together for a proper test run last night.

    6 - Monday's a US holiday :wallbash:

This is just stunning. I'm supposed to put this in a computer case or a display case?
Now the search for a suitable case is gonna be harder.
    Thank you Cheaps.

Thanks for the tip, will scan through my Harbor Freight stuff now, God, I get least 2 a week. Bought 5" cross slide from them for shop at work, has held up well and more accurate that Shop Fox it replaced. My Bosch clone jigsaw from them has done well also. My drillpress came off a truck at a tool show, proved better casting and heavier column than major brands, fraction of the cost. Point being, bargain shoping is not always bad deal if one is carefull.

50 miles out sounds like good deal. I stayed in Conroe briefly, that was pretty nice.

Waiting to see what temps you get. Inquiring minds want to know. LOL

Noooo!! Go for small bore, fat tubes will look hideous but small ones will match it with equally small delicacy.

    Thanks everyone.
Ahh, Just my luck. At least I wasn't forced to pay for 3day express like the last place I bought from. FedEx should be forced to refund if it takes 7 days to deliver.

@Darkraven - Glad I could help.:D Just remember I got burned pretty bad when I tried to buy a rotary table from them. I ordered the table and a $5 carpenter's square. They charged ~$20 for shipping, sent the square, and put the table on back order. a month later they sent a money order for the rotary table and kept the shipping costs.

@Bindibadgi - Too late. Where were you when we decided 3/8" barbs? Delicacy?:eyebrow: It's already green and purple. Big monster tubing goes well with the whole 'overkill' thing.

I've been doing some stuff to get ready for the test run. The barbs are due in Friday.
-I needed to make a replacement backplate for the CPU block. For some strange reason I decided to use some scrap stainless. The first step involved getting out the GOOD drillbits.
-Then I went to the garage and ground down ALL of my cutting discs. Once I got through the material, I used a hacksaw blade. Stainless is HARD. I don't want to do a stainless steel build anymore. This has cured me.
-Here was part of my problem. This stuff is horkin' thick!
-Once it was cut out, I could work it on a real grinder. After this I went at it with the files for a while.
-After a lot of sanding, it was still rough looking. I polished it up anyway -like a polished turd.
-I thought you'd get a kick out of this. The new block has been sitting on my video card block attempt. I don't know if the new block is tiny, or if the old block is HUGE. :hehe:

Yeah stainless is a pain to cut, especially thick stuff like you used. It paid off though, it looks fantastic.

One small stainless bracket. You learn quick. LOL Rather hit myself in head with hammer; quicker and less painfull.
