So I ordered the cheapest chromed cranks I could get. Well, good ones like, no shite.

Cult Crew cranks with a 19mm axle. Solid axle like, so they are pretty heavy. Got 10% off at checkout.....

Went up in the loft and dug out a 19mm BB. Then when I unpacked them they looked nothing like what I had bought.

Checked the sticker on the box, and sure enough it says "Cult Crew Cranks 19mm". Only they ain't.

They are Cult Hawk pro cranks, that cost twice that much. Only ever so minor ball ache is they are a 22mm hollow axle, so I had to buy a 22mm bottom bracket.

    I really didn't mind this.

They can't tell me what to do! If I want to live my life like that (wearing only a banana-man thong and waving it around in front of a web cam during online meetings) then that is how I'll live my life.

The "I think they should but I don't really know and I can only find one other person with this wheel in this size and it wasn't on my exact car" wheels arrived, unexpectedly, and fit like a glove. Now I need some rubber, some TPMS valves, and.. Well, summer, because they're going to be the summer wheels.

Finally replaced the sofa I've been near refusing to sit on for the last three years, at zero cost. Shoutout to the mighty Land Rover and its infinite load carrying capacity. Can't tell you how nice it is to have a sofa that's not 300mm off the ground, the old one is going to the skip tomorrow.

I went looking for that light as soon as I saw your original post. Looks like they fixed that little glitch pretty quickly. Wasn't going to be an essential purchase, more of a must have at that price - would have been rude not too....

That's the new sofa arriving, the old one is long gone but judging by the feel of it it was some nasty synthetic, it had torn in one place and not the way you'd expect leather to?

I have always said that my job is pretty routine, I design lightning protection systems and substation earthing systems, so it is a lot of drawing conductor layouts on CAD drawings of buildings and running earthing simulations prior to installation. However, what does make it interesting is the variety of buildings that I work on. Everything from basic office blocks to railway stations and other more interesting places such as the new Stonehenge Visitor Centre or the world's largest clock tower out in Mecca...

Today's job that is a little out of the ordinary - a camel racing and falconry facility out in the Middle East...
