Best and worst purchase this year: new car. I love it, but it's costing an arm and a leg, and it's still not right.
Peugeot 106 Rallye S2. So far I've had to change the gearbox, which wasn't exactly cheap. Now it needs rear discs and pads all round, an engine mount, gear linkages looking at, and a bit of paintwork under a seal on one of the rear windows, found a bit of the evil brown the other day. All problems within 1200 miles of ownership, they were fine on purchase (except the rust, but it's so tiny I would've had to dismantle the car to find it). Damn french cars!
Probably my laptop, just makes me realise how slow my netbook was. It also has Windows 7 which has also made me hate Vista on my main rig. Ummm, another couple of things would be my Nike Air trainers for running in and the Slam Dunk-esque ones, soooo very comfortable. Oh, and the Mountain Dew I now continually buy at a nearby Sainsburys, there is a God!
Everyday - I'm not wealthy enough to have 2 cars really. It's brilliant, and the upside is that once it's right I'll be incredibly satisfied.
Gotta be my black Crafter Cruiser RG600, my Ketamine- Just Say Neigh shirt, and my airbrush and air compressor.
My main rig: i5 750 (OC to 3.8ghz) Gigabyte P55M-UD2 4GB 1600 Corsair DDR3 2x500GB Samsung F3 HDD's Ati 4830 512mb Silverstone Case Corsair 400W PSU Titan Fenrir (Red Edition) Win 7 Ultimate Will be upgrading to a Corsair 800W PSU and GTX460 Soon. I suspect my current psu is getting stretched too far. (with the CPU OC'd etc) More than happy with it for graphics editing and playing games nice and smooth. Now i just want 3x24inch 19x12 Monitors and the said upgrades and ill be happy as larry.
If it makes you feel any better i sort of got my ass handed to me by a 106 rallye yesterday, i swear through the twistys it never even touched the brake, it made it through at 60mph i couldnt get any more than 40!, I did trounce it in a straight line though Easily the closest thing ive seen on the road to a go-kart tbh.
My G25 wheel got it for £130 from a german company because the box had a small tear in the corner. Didn't think it would be much faster than a gamepad, Glad to be proven completely wrong.
He's waiting to see the drop in his winter fuel prices, as he'll be able to game and heat the house with those!
welcome to the club! When i first got mine i was significantly slower than i was with a gamepad, mainly because i was still driving like i did with a gamepad, now im a lot faster with the wheel and hate using a pad tbh. My best purchase would be changing all the fans in my comp for silent eagles! not the biggest spend ever, but what a difference they've made!
