Project: Puzzlebox Pc (10/09) COMPLETED!!

So now its time for a brand new casebuild This time with a Hellraiser theme. This case will be my servercase

and will contain an old P4 1,7 The case vill be an engraved plexicube. The idea is to make an all black and gold

cube, to do this i will dremel all the patters and then fill them with leafgold and top it off with sunblock film

on the inside.
The cube will remain black and gold until the lights switch on. Then the internals will be visible. The mainboard

will be mounted with all connecters facing down this will be done so that i can hide all the cables in the wodden

base. The cdrom and diskdrive will also be stealthed into the base so that the plexicube itself will remain

untouched.

I didnt want to cut any holes in the cube since i feel that it would mess up the clean look im going for the only

holes will be for 2x80mm casefans one in the front and one at the back. Ive made some sketchup drawings to show

yall what i had in mind





So now on to the actual build, first some plexi


Then some sketching, this will take forever to do with the old dremel but ill get there

did you draw those markings on the plexi??? damn man, if you did, then you are the most persisting one ive ever known

 

Make sure you are careful, Polycarbonate is strong, but scratches VERY easily...

By the way, those are some killer drawing skills...can't wait to see this etched!!

Wow, that's one of the most interesting concept I've ever seen! Not sure how you plan to connect cables to the i/o ports on the mobo as they're facing the bottom but I'm sure you already thought about that. Good luck with the dremel

So now im back again Ive been working hard theese last couple of days and what ive been up to you can see here
Ive finished 2 sides of the cube, not completely but ive got all the basic etching done and heres how it looks.




And the work continues....

 

Amazing work as always mate! you said one of the colors is going to be gold, have you god gold leds or are you going to paint the parts gold?
