shooting at regular targets is for the poors. Now it's all about shooting at virtual targets on LCD's screens pretty cool... but I wonder how it works and what a bullet could do to it
I wonder how long it will take for that to decompose in a landfill. Or whether it can be diluted at all through regular recycling.
Oh LORD, did any of the rest of you physically cringe even before he whacked the TFT? I sure did. LOL. Good vid!
Have any of you actually tried hitting an LCD before? Most of them can actually handle it pretty well. (Don't try it, though, as some pixels may to die) Making it as solid as the one in the video is probably done with replacing the sheet of glass with something like polycarbonate glass. This causes the screen to flex instead of cracking.
Seems to me that there was a sheet of polycarbonate over the entire front that covered the bezel as well.
Sounds a bit unpractical IMO. For this to be effective it would have to be a bit of spacing between the screen and the LCD itself. This could result in reflections in the glass. The screen would also have to have a glossy surface. (I hate LCDs with glossy surfaces)
