Well, technically, I suppose hating spicy food isn't racism, though calling all foreign food 'crap' could be deemed racist Also, I suppose all cultures have foods of different palates. Not all Indian food is spicy, and not all Chinese food is salty. Really, I think we all need more experience of different varieties of cuisine before we can judge them... we can't judge Strawberries and Cream in the same way that we judge Toad in the Hole, though both are very British things to eat. And the article is rather foolish: I am of Indian descent, and there are Indian foods which I like and dislike... does that make me partially racist towards Indians? I can imagine a lot of toddlers hate their vegetables. Does that make them racist towards England? and it even goes as far as to suggest we should 'report all incidents to the council'. That is just ridiculous. I'm disappointed that this was published by the Telegraph...
sorry...but it's not just the parents. you forget things like tv, media, and everyone else in the world who kids look up to. unfortunately todays world means you can't tell someone elses kids that they're doing wrong for a million (mostly stupid) reasons. actually, i dont think it was the parents, they were pretty cool from what i remember. and besides, when i was 8 being bullied i'm not exactly going to be going up to anyone's parents and 'give them a talking to'. a lot of kids tend not to say anything when things like this happen, they might not think to tell someone and when they do they're often branded for grassing on someone.
Just between you and me, very few people actually like British food. Hell, you guys don't even have a word for "Bon apetit", out of sheer realism I guess.
Yea right, this is the Telegraph people, treat the story with a little skepticism. I was going to read through the guidance but it turns out you have to buy the damn thing.
Sounds a bit like a mediterannian haggis. In my opinion, my indian mates do smell. Eating strongly flavoured and aromatic food, usually with their hands, they often end up smelling of their food. Is that a bad thing? Not in my opinion. Better than BO and I love indian food and spicy food in general.
Heheh well I think most food is crap, but especially spicy stuff. I could hardly care less where it's from. And around here, we call it patriotism
yes because of all the dairy products we eat, i went off dairy for about a year and i could smell people who lived off cheese. also hating powerfully flavoured food is racist. you damn bigots.
Well, it looks like ive been a racist all my life from a toddler to 27 years of age because I still dont like spicey food much. Also my wife is Chinese and I dont understand why shes with a racist
I post here the same comment I left there: This is insane. Words cannot describe the extent to which this is incomprehensibly, irrevocably and ridiculously insane.
Surprised so many people don't like hot or spicy food, it's crazy. Have a restaurant sized Tabasco sauce and it's nearly half empty after 2 months of use, I am a hot food lover.
