Once the competition is over we should figure out how to build this case, it looks not that hard. And it looks awesome.
Yes they are sweet But I'm not sure about my entry Time sucks. It's better if that competition was in the beginning of the summer not in the end but I wish good luck for every one
I just checked out the prizes. I'm amazed TGS has some equipment he hasn't modded yet. @Dark~3nergy - I thought that might open the floodgates. I wish I had time to learn sketchup now... -p.s. Your case is still square. you're not chopping hard enough!
Go on Cheapskate! Its easy to learn SketchUp... and you have over 2 months! If it'll look anything like BlooBalls, I want to see it! MGT
thanks Cheapskate and Aterius Gmork, it's not finished yet ^^ great to see that they are some "better" prices, thought it would have been fun to win a cheesecake
Haha. Tell you what Dark~3nergy, if you win, I'll send you a cheesecake as well Those prizes are indeed looking juicy... I don't know which I would rather have... And I've decided to scrap the Nissan GT-R based project - not complicated enough. I'm designing something far cooler... and I'm quite tempted to try the Nissan GT-R idea on ,y own computer...
wooot even more resen for me to stop modding and finsih call dibs on t-shirt and the feet rest is you guys
I have sketchup and I'm not that bad at it, but I don't know where you guys get these computer related parts from.
Mate check the link in this thread http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=46003 And i better get on with my design then if i wanna win anything lol Josh
I may give it a go. But I am totally building this in proDESKTOP first, as sketchup is a bit touchy on my machine sometimes, so it's better to fiddle with the design in something that works, then just rebuild it in sketchup.
Jezmck has a collection of community submitted parts here: http://scc.jezmckean.com/ and I think Google has its own SketchUp 'Warehouse' as well. The level of detail that some people have in their models is often just staggering.
Maybe its just me but the sketchup file you have... it shows the fans sticking out of the back of the case... is that right? I think they are supposed to be on the INSIDE of the case in the back not the outside... :/
@ BlueOcean - Yep All free dude. Just try it. @ Colt - The two rear fans in the model are indeed outside the case. I'm not sure if its meant to be that way (I would expect fans to be inside) since I don't own this case, but Scooby is usually pretty accurate... either way, you can make it however you wish in you own model.
At the moment, its at 12 midnight on 31st October 2008, (see First Post) and should stay that way, though depending on the circumstances this might change. So... I suppose that gives you over 2 months, which I hope is enough time for everyone who wants a go to get an entry in. Regards, MGT
