ok first off the show apparently from what I've been told has only been banned for 2 weeks but the clip itself if you watch it all the way to the end is harsh. its the sort of thing that you laugh at then feel ashamed for laughing then you check no one else is around before you watch it and laugh again.

I love dark humour and all, but I didn't laugh. It was just delivered poorly.

Weather right or wrong, somethings need to be questioned, if they are above question, who will police them.

and that is a VERY serious statement.


And as a sidenote on peadophilia.
the constant scaremongering by the media is driving the peadophiles into hiding, where they are a dam site harder to police and monitor.
On top of that around 80% of peadophilia is by family and family freinds. It's not "stranger danger" you need to worry about! but thats what the media focus on.
Scaring people to the wrong ideas.

 

Funny premise, good but slightly lacking execution, off ending but something I can imagine myself saying so can't be too harsh.

Conclusion: Chucklesome.

 

I would have laughed if it were funny, twas not. I reckon the kids asking to kick a priest or go ram-raiding, basically anything less prosaic than the tired old visit Disneyland routine, would have been more lol worthy.

 

I was about to start flaming in here, pretty badly.

I've watched the chasers a fair few times, and normally they have some hillarious stuff, and some of it can be a little bit meh.

But this 1 minute of crap they made is not on. Just about every single word said in this clip does nothing but infuriate me. The last sentence said, is one of the worst things that someone could say to a dying person, child or not.

Anyone, that does not find this 100% disgracefull, is obviously not giving the kids anywhere near enough respect. The clip isn't making fun of cartoon characters, those are actual real live kids, that are dying.

No sane person, would ever dream to actually say any of that to an innocent child who is dying in hospital. If it was a close mate, and you were poking a bit of fun at them, then that's completely different. Anyone laughing in the clip or anyone watching it that laughed, doesn't know those kids. All the people that laughed, even a tiny little bit, wouldn't laugh at these kids if they were standing in front of them.

Not any sane person anyway.

What's next? Visit the kid's funeral, and make some more jokes?

I didn't watch it - I don't think I could live with myself, and I'll laugh at anything - but in defence of the Brass Eye special, it was without any shadow of doubt not only absolutely hilarious, but wasn't especially mocking paedophiles or their victims so much as the tabloid obsession with them, which is a bit different.

Maybe that's a tad over the top.

Not too sure if these kids are actually dying or are show extras but even if they are actually terminal patients its not like the show crew walked into a hospital and started making these comments with out getting permission from the hospital, the children AND the children's parents first.

Maybe you can tell me how you do it as I keep having this recurring dream about Buffy, Faith and Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and a bucket of yoghurt and a turkey feather. Hmmmm, forget I said that, moving rapidly on.

There was a surge in donations to the make a wish foundation after this skit, is it possible that it was all a plan to get some publicity and more donations? If that's the case, then maybe the ends sort of justify the means.

Notice however, that even if this is the case, anyone laughing at this clip is still left with 100% lameness status.
