Anyone else got it? I played the demo and the destruction, 400sq miles of map, and grappling hook (ok.. I admit.. it was mainly the grappling hook.. ) sold me on it. Downloading now..
I'm waiting for Joe's review to decide if I want to buy it or not. I'm on the fence at the moment, because the demo was the most fun I've had in a game in ages, but the story looks pants.
A hint was given in the latest Rebel FM podcast to get around the time limit. When theres 2 seconds left you must hit the home button (either X360 or PS3) then return to the game twice, do this twice and this should give you unlimited time. I havne't tried it yet, going to download the demo now to see.
Waiting for the Steam activation - I prepaid. The original's one of my favourites, but the story was pants then and I'm not expecting anything new. I just like the gameplay too much.
Well that time limit trick didnt work but I had a great time trying to kill the time. Try this: grap a helicopter from a military base, climb altitude until you are above the clouds at which point exit the helicopter. Try to sky dive back into the helicopter, trying to catch up with it was incredibly fun.
I was talking to a guy in work about the demo before I'd played it. He was telling me all about how awesome the grappling hook was and how you could tether yourself to a gas cannister then shoot it and hang on for the ride but no matter what i couldn't get it to work =/ Absolutely loads of fun despite this, I'll probably wait for a Steam sale though as I'm only an hour or so into the first one.
Had the same problem, turns out its to do with not having the latest Physx drivers. Install the latest drivers and you should be good to go (providing your running Nvidia of course)
My favourite thing to do is pull the head off a statue with a helicopter, then drag it through the city as a wrecking ball. I've been playing this game a lot anyway, will be writing the review today to go up tomorrow.
