You are correct :) I love the 40K universe, I've read nearly all the novels, and I just hope the use some of Dan Abnett's work in their script writing...

I hope to god THQ don't mess this up. The 40k universe is so rich and vibrant. It would be a crime to not do it justice. I've made a point never to play a MMO, but this could be the one that turns me into a liar.

+1 for this and being able to play as Imperial Guard. The combination would be fantastic!

OMG 40K MMO! where do I sign up?

Edit: I have quit WoW, too much griding and didnt feel fun any more, and I want to have a life.

Fallen Earth got me bored too quickly, too much non action.

EA's Warhammer online didnt float my boat, it was like WoW with different graphics, also felt unfinished/rushed.

I hate myself for being such a geek but I think I could get into this if done well. I don't like WoW because it is 'oldenday', I'm more of a sci fi guy. Of course, we'll have to see about the community that springs up around it (i.e. snotty little 12 year olds)...

This 40K MMO could be the one that keeps my interest. I live in hope.

Used to play warhammer and an mmo based on the inquisitor version of the game would probably work quite well.

That's because he isn't wearing standard armour. He carries the Gauntlets of Ultramar, which are a pair of powerfists with mounted bolters. The normal handwear for a space marine is much smaller :)

Do I think I will play it: yes. Do I think it will replace WoW for me: no.

God I loved Planetside. That is, until they released that stupid expansion pack, then it went downhill quicker than driving your Sunderer off the side of the continent map! Ah, the memories...

The problem with these games is that they always seem to charge a lot of money for the games. Eg, for WOW you buy the game discs with a month subscription but then you have to pay £8ish every month! If it is cheaper then WOW I can see the uptake being very good!

Eh, not getting excited after Warhammer Online and Aion didn't impress. I'm now putting most of my hopes in the upcoming Star Wars MMO from Bioware. Actually I hope they all fail so I can work on the massive backlog of games I have'nt played yet because of BF1942 then WoW. Many of them AA titles.

I would have liked to have a go at WH40K but the new star wars MMO is far more appealing to me. the starwars universe is so huge that anything could happen in it. I did love SWG which was my first MMO and then SOE went and buggered it up and i moved onto WoW.
if there is a free trial I will give it a go, but generally people only have the time to invest in 1 MMO. and for me, that will be SWTOR.

If Tyranids are a playable race I will buy this as soon as pre-orders are out.

If not, I will at least try the trial :D

That is assuming I'm not too busy playing Mortal Online and FFXIV.

I would play this. And people need to stop crying about a monthly fee, if 15 euros a month is too much for you, it is time to resign from PC Gaming.

    lol korned im like that

the list of titles i have backlogged is huge

probably 100 + games on steam on alone

why do people moan about £8 a month what is that loose change? i spend more on lunch on a daily baises whilst at work than i spend on wow a month

Even people i know who are unemployed can afford the £8 a month

Cause its not worth $15 a month to grind NPCs with real players running around. That's on top of the $60 you payed for the game and each of the expansions.

Untill an MMO can actually provide something worth the $15 a month or lower the sub price, not worth it IMO.

I'll take my $180 I'd be asked to pay for a year of subs and buy a few real games with free multiplayer.
