Displays Monitor flashes on startup then stays black

    Hi guys my wifes monitor started playing up last week. when turn pc on the monitor comes on stayes for 3 secs then goes black pc boots alls fine just no display the button stays green like its still on but no display turn monitor off and on it will flash on again then black it isnt the pc as tried another monitor and that one works fine. The monitor is a hanton h-320wdb

    hope you guys can help out.

    When it goes black does the image still barely visible under strong light?

    yeah just pointed a light at it and you can barely see a picture on the screen what do i need to do can i fix it.

    also how the hell can i take it apart lol

    Ok the back light transformer died. You need to replace the transformer (it's some circuit board)
    I have no idea where it is, and if it's changeable as some monitors have the transformer circuit embedded in the rest of the monitor circuit attached to the LCD panel itself. (ie: new panel)

    ive seen that you could change out the cathodes for ones that would usually be used in a pc for lighting is this a good idea does it work?
