no u got it all wrong.... 2 packs of 4 for five pounds + its still a rip off Hold on no im wrong it's 2 packs of 2 for five quiq wow i wish i didn't just order them
You could have got yourself some top quality mince for that and made your own epic burgers which would have been much better, probably.
they're worth it. I've had them. cook em proper (leave to get to room temp, HOT griddle pan, flip ONLY ONCE) and you'll be laughing. works out to just over pound per patty. made up into a burger it costs less than a big mac. they also have the taste the difference ultimate burgers on offer, 2 packs for £4, but don't bother with any of the stupid filled burgers - just get the straight up beef ones. /food snob.
Easy mate, mince in a bowl, crack an egg into it, salt, pepper, mustard, chilli, onion, cheese, whatever the hell you want. Put into fridge for half an hour, make burger shapes, cook awesomeo burgers.
Or go to the butchers. If you got a good butchers you can pick up fresh burgers for about a quid each and they are ridiculously good.
I find myself making special trips to the butchers in town now. Supermarket burgers and sausages are generally poor. Plus the butcher does a £15 barbecue pack. 10 sausages, 10 burgers and 10 grill sticks included. Much better value.
If you mix everything together by hand over a bowl of ice you do not need to use the egg to bind them together. Personally i like adding very finely chopped shallot and capers to my minced beef.
Two Whoppers for $4 at my local Burger King. Low quality meat in a really wide burger. 670 calories, 11g saturated fat, 75mg cholesterol, 11g sugar, 51g carbs, 40g fat, 1.5g trans fat, 29g protein, 1020mg sodium. Produced from mystery meat, packaged in paper and cardboard.
Despite the rather obvious shittyness of the meat used in the bulk burgers, I still started drooling over the photo. Damnit. Might give DIY-burgers a shot one day... I usually go for tortillas/burritos when I do something like that at home, though. More fill, less bun, just the way I like it
Or have a family that farms and have one of your close relatives raise cattle. Seriously though, the best quality meat(ground beef, sirloin steak, rib steak, rump roast... I'm hungry now) I have ever eaten is when my aunt butchers a steer. Best value too... free for me!
our local butcher does great burgers. 6 for €2 which is about £1.60/70. dont know how he makes money at that price but who cares lol
people are buying burgers at that price????? 125g of mince (not the lean stuff you need the fat content) pinch of sea salt pepper 1/2 onion grated splash Worcestershire sauce pinch of sweet paprika and pinch of mixed herbs. Place in bowl and mix by hand. split into half and then split each half into a 1/3 and 2/3 portion form the larger portions into about a 4 inch round and make a dent in the middle, fill with a chunk of cheddar, then place the smaller portions on top and seal. press them till firm. (works best if you have a ring to form them in. place in fridge for 20 mins. heat frying pan on high heat, cook burgers for 3mins each side. If you want to be really flash get a butcher to mince some ribeye instead of buying the mince from a supermarket.
