Never really played competitively myself, how is it? I tend to stick to a maximum of 8 pre-arranged players just so I can carry on believing I am top dog

edit: do follow the competitive CS scene though ^^

Stye has successfully gone away on its own! It's been coming and going in the same spot for awhile now, never serious enough to get real medical attention. Even though I know it'll just be back, I like to know that it'll be gone for the start of college.

I get those all the time mate, I feel your pain discomfort :/ I get them when I'm very tired (which is often) and they bug the hell out of me :(

It's amazing... I miss it so badly. You'll never find another game that is as fun to play at a competitive level (I.e. esport) than Counter Strike. The sense of community alone makes it so worthwhile, then you have the LANs, the competitive spirit, the tournaments and leagues and as you are obviously aware of the professional teams to follow as well. If I (and my team tbh) still had time to do it, the clan would still be running and we'd still be competing, but I wouldn't have anywhere near the amount of free time per week needed to just play as a member of a casual clan, never mind running a competing clan. I wish I was 17 and could do it all again :(

Looks like I might be getting an iPhone4 in late september... through work... and unlike the E71, this one will belong to me. Even though it's only a 16GB one. Here's hoping it works out

i might be going to see a movie in the city with a few people i know and some i wont know. but not sure yet. :thumb:

i've been finally doing the kind of stuff at work that I was hired to do. though it still is very easy and boring, its better than how it has been. :)

Weekend starts in 67 minutes. Win

My sister is coming to visit for a week. Nice

We are going to Dubai tommorow where I will spend all my money on clothes in Dubai Mall and then go and return my HD5850 because the fan sounds like a wood chipper when it spins above 25%.

I might also buy a PS3 and big (24"+) new monitor if I feel like splurging.

Asked out this girl I've really liked since I've been here. It's eerie how similar we are and how well we jive. I thought I hadn't gotten over my ex, but honestly, it's been a month and I've had plenty of time to mourn and moan. I'm done with that and have moved on. This is a new life.

Now, off to my Western Civ II class....

I worked for 10 and a half hours straight today. Made $40 in tips. From just today(combining wages and tips) I have earned over 1/4 of my paycheck(approximately $130... i get paid every 2 weeks).

Also, it seems as if the manager that hates me is starting to not hate me. So hooray to that i suppose.

edit: the $130 is what I made today, not my paycheck.

Wait... what? I must have gotten this wrong somehow. You made approximately $130 today, in 10 hours, $40 of that being tips. That means you earn $9/hour without tips and roughly/just less than $520 every couple of weeks, based on the mention of $130 being roughly one quarter of your paycheck and you getting paid per fortnight. That works out at just over $1000 per month. About 650/month in Queens money. What do you do? Have I gotten that completely wrong?

Good for you fella, if only that logic applied to my (very recent) ex.

On the plus side, organized a cracking weekend away in London. Send off show at BBC television centre, out on the town with 30 of the coolest people I've met in a long time, catching up with an old friend in the city and then the PLASA show at earls court.

    Bring it on!

And I get to buy some new gear. :D

My usual paycheck is about $450 so it is really $800-$900 per month. I earn $8.55/hour(Washington State minimum wage). I worked from about 11:00 AM to about 9:30 PM today. I work in a local pizza place :D
