It was a silly nickname I was given by an ex. I used to play a great deal of online Quake many many years ago, and got annoyed by all the silly macho player names and attitudes by kiddies, so opted for this instead... along with changing the colour of my armour to pink. It annoyed the kiddies.. especially when the pink fool with the sissy name fragged their asses. I've just used it since for no particular reason.
MV, you will always be Admiral Miles Vernon Agusta IX in my mind. The imagine of you sailing along the Aussie coast in a 16th century flagship at the head of a great armada will never leave my head. I typically use Fuzzysloth in online games for that reason. Nothing like knowing you died to a cute and cuddly animal with a top speed of 3mph. knuck the Canuck!
Originally, it was because I liked the sound of the word 'knuckle' from way before I even spoke English. I first saw the word on the cartridge of Sonic and Knuckles and decided my nick name would be knuckle. I didn't like to be 'linked' to a well known character however, sort of like when someone calls himself OptimusPrime or IronMan. I then simplified it to knuck and have stuck to it since. When it's already taken, I just add a twist to it like knuckalicious or knuckZOR
