Well as most of you know I recently finished my latest project Sidewinder and ATM I'm planning my next one. For this I would like to have a lot of input from you guys.

My plan is to build a very light and small mod.

    Cooling: Air or Water
    Motherboard: ITX
    PSU : SFX12V (small)

The initial design is going towards a Stealth type plane/boat

    My first attempt at rendering:

This mod is supposed to be made out of carbon to make it very light and sturdy.

Looks interesting, but how will you open it? A normal door seems hard to manage while keeping the stealth look. And space is also definitily (definetily?) going to be a issue here. I'm lookin forward to seeing more pics/updates

I'm probably going to make it like a drawer, so that I can pull out the complete rig.

made it a bit more bumpy and with a little lighting

Actually i think it looks good, imo, i would make the openings a bit more narrow, it looks unnecessary and i think it would cause spatial problems as far as the location of the case.
Also, i wouldn't want to hit my leg by accident on one of those pointy edges..

Try putting a black mesh on the fan and see how it looks, it would also protect things from.. well.. hitting the fan :D

Carbon fiber should be used with organic shapes. :p

Otherwise, I like it. You should use some of the fan duct space for a hidden USB/esata port.

    thanks

    thanks for your input
    :naughty:

renders this pic just for you ( Lian Li wheels)
Kind of looks like a funny car thing.

I love you, yea your right carbon should be in sheet and wavy parts and not on corners.
My first try making something roundish with Soap Skin & Bubble
plugin. For some reson getting weird pointy bits on it:wallbash:
Wish ther was a kind of brain plug in so that I can transfer my ideas to the PC because what I've got in my mind doesn't look any thing like that:waah:.

Oh well I already planed on doing a bunch of mock-ups like I did on Sidewinder.

i prefer the original design with no wheels..
try adding a narrow "aerodynamic" window on the original and see what happens.

Hey it looks kinda of like my case Aelro Dynamic! The hardest part about your case is getting crisp edge lines. Doing a multi-faceted design, is very complex, just look at my project log for Aelro. You either have to weld the edges, or create mounting for all the flat pieces, which, can be a pain! You say you want to do it out of CF, I commend you for trying, getting tight crisp edges with CF will have its challenges once again. Stunning design by the way, I will keep my eye on this.

like the design. Just a heads up. Part of the stealth design was to not create 90 degree angles. the outboard sides of your inlet seem to be very close to 90 degree angles. You might try adding a flat triangle shape to eliminate it and add a little different shape.
love this design. reminds me of a high bypass turbo fan. the only problem I see is airflow. The cpu cooler and power supply seem to KILL the airflow.
