Will you be overclocking them? If you are, I'm very keen to know if you do better than I managed.

 

Oh yes, you should know buy now lol. But once I do find a stable clock, I will create some custom vbios for us all, but with custom fan profiles. (As per the HD5970).

Bloody hell you must be absolutely minted! Or have a VERY highly paid job! 3x 580's at the drop of a hat and a new PSU!

 

That Corsair is the successor to the ole Revolution 85+, as the new ones seem to be worse than the old ones. I still think you should of waited for the 6970's as going be the 6870's Crossfire results they scale amazingly...

 

Its already been admitted that AMD won't be going for the performance crown, they have there eye on the price performance sector, there's no point waiting if you want power

Yes, my job pays well, but you can never earn too much.

I wanted to buy now rather than later, as the 20% Vat starts in January. And as I already pay the tax man 40% of my wages I don't want to give them more.
As for the Corsair AX1200w, I went through a few review sites, and they highly recommend it. But I guess I will see tomorrow.

I know I have made the right choice with going back to Nvidia. But I know the HD6990 will out perform the GTX 580 in January as it is going to be a dual GPU card vs a single GPU card.
Am I going to be bothered? Nope because I know my TRI SLI setup will win over HD6990 in CFX.

I know a bloke who had a black ducati motorbike. He went out and spent a fortune on the same type of ducati previously owned by Cristiano Ronaldo which as you can imagine was bling as fook. The new one was painted white and red. He was too afraid to tell the Mrs how much he spent so he came up with a great idea.... He sold his bike 2 weeks before the other arrived, said nothing and two weeks later arrived home on the bling bike and told her he'd spent €500 having the old one spray painted...

I think its more about the goods then the money with these fellas (and tbh, we need more people like this).

Makes me a little bit wet at the thought of dropping that kind of money, and i'm not sure its the 'good' kind of wet!
