Reading how the conversation/ posts over on the deus ex - human revolution delayed thread has taken a turn towards who can remember the original deus ex I thought it would be interesting to see what people do/ don't remember of gaming history... So this is a post your first rig thread.

    Here's mine

Oh and add a bit - what was the best game

For me F14 tomcat. Granted it came out a bit later but you had to flick the switches on the actual console to use landing gear, put out the grappling hook for short landing, switch between missiles and guns.... It (almost) felt like a real plane!

My first ever gaming system was the Amiga 500
    [IMG]
I still have it sitting in the original box in the loft, I've got one part missing though so I can't play it at the moment. :(
The Amiga definitely holds some of my favourite childhood memories.

After that I went back in time and went and bought the Odyssey as I just couldn't go without owning the grandfather of gaming systems. I only ever did have 2 games for it though.

Not sure where I've put my first console (Acetronic), although there's still a couple of cartridges for it knocking about my room.
It had the best version of Space Invaders I've ever played.

I've also got a Sega Game Gear and a gen 1 Gameboy here (somewhere).

My first games console was a Sega Master System with 3 games: Wonderboy, Hang-on and World Soccer. Best game on that system was probably Alex kidd (can't remember the suffix; but definitely not High-tech world... that was a glitchy incompleteable piece of trash)

Mine was much like Nikols VCS system (had Pong, 'Football', squash and skeet shooting on it). No pics though as it is long gone!

    My PC upgrade path was;

    ZX-81
    ZX-Spectrum
    Amstrad CPC-464
    Amiga 1000
    8086 Based PC
    80286 Based PC
    80486 Based PC
Then various builds up to my current rig!

I can't remember if it was a Gameboy or a Master System first. But I had Mario for the GB and Alex Kidd and Sonic for the Master System.

Our first PC we got in 1994 I think. It was Windows 3.1 and we had Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, Zool and some Star Trek game. It was grid based and you would warp to different grids looking for klingons. Thats about as much as I can remember about it.

Hmm.. I guess a gameboy. I think a Gameboy Classic but am not 100% sure.

Then next up was a PS2, and then after that I got into gaming on my computer.

    Original Playstation...

Was 7 when I got it, I loved it! Porsche Challenge, wow I sucked at it, never saw the need for a brake?

Then I got a PS2, then PS3, built my first PC, built second PC, sold PS3 for 360, built 4th system, sold 360, bought PS3, built 5th system...

    Sorted.

Sinclair Spectrum 48k, then PC's all the way until now. Had a few little consoles along the way but I never really liked any of them.

Looks like something out of 80's movies that some kid would use to hack in to the Pentagon.
