lol 3dfx... oh dear god. I got a corker with my Facebook earlier. Status of "Is going to buy a Xbox360..." 12 replies of "Dude... my mates got one for sale..." or "PS3 is better" 12:01 came round and my trollface reply occured, much to my hilarity.
Me too, my first ever proper 3D card was a 3DFX card, including the lovely VGA pass through. You could actually hear the relays click as it switched in and overrode your standard VGA (As the 3D card wouldn't do 2D for windows use LOL) Oh and having to patch the games...Tomb Raider on the PC at 1024x768 looked so sweet back then... when compared to 320x240 I could get with CPU rendering! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/3dfxvoodoo1diamond.jpg

The same here. I remember feeling very swish with a Voodoo II AND a Matrox Millennium G200 not long after that. I remember feeling chuffed I went down the 3DFX/Glide route and not PowerVR at the time

i took the bosses new car out on a job to a remote site about 10 miles away, then when I got there phoned him to ask for the insurance details for the company, but he never answered. He asked later why I had called so I told him, but he didn't see the funny side.
