I missed most of the second episode while working on my cabinets, so I'm still quite lost. Does your spoiler have anything to do with the Spoiler red-haired kids ? Or as one of our friends put it, Spoiler What's with all the gingers? Did the Weasleys invade? I will say that the lack of wizards and orcs is somewhat refreshing in the fantasy genre. It's just people doing what they do best: backstabbing and competing.
No, Spoiler more the case of why none of the King's children have dark hair. Hmmm. Bit of a poser, that.
I like this show, but I can't help but feel that this was made by the people who did the advertising for Evony Online: See the resemblance? Anyway, it's all making sense so far... I think it helps that I haven't read any of the books.
Watched the 2nd episode last night, on its replay a nice epiode just need less brakes and more GOT, though wait till Monday now till the next episode.
Really? There's only one ad break in an 60+ minute episode. That's 2-3 less than any other big ticket HBO shows shown on Sky Atlantic. I thought that was pretty abnormal for Sky to forgo ad revenue like that. Not that I'm complaining.
I'm fairly sure there was more than one break, but I sky + it so don't really notice. Back on topic... Watched the first two episodes and I'm really enjoying it. Never even heard of Game Of Thrones before the adverts so I haven't read the books. Will be watching the rest of the series . P.S anyone know how many episodes in this series?
I´m pleasently suprised, a few of the characters dont feel quite right yet but im sure that will get better as the show progresses.
according to the books author theres 10 episodes in this series with annother series to come which follows the second book. Personally I'm loving the series so far really captures the books and has had some very emotive moments
So, soo full of grot. Spoiler Loads of general shagging, incest, midget porn, and whats with all the women being taken from behind? Spoiler It looked promising when I saw those big arsed monsters in the forest at the start but I'm less and less interested the more I watch (Watched the first and second episodes).
it gets alot better, this isnt very far even into the first book yet once eddard gets to kings landing and jon to castle black it gets ALOT better
This really is cracking along now. My only real issue I have so far is that the Eyrie isn't like I imagined it at all.... But that's nitpicking for nitpicking's sake. I do like how they're explaining to the non GoT savvy who's who, and what's happened in the past. The chat between Cersi and Robert was great, as was Bran's lesson on the Houses. Whilst the Imp is really stealing any scene he's in, my favourite character is Arya - the girl playing her is just brilliant in the role. Especially when she calmly tells her dad that she's not going to be married off, as it's 'not her'
Game of Thrones is one of the best series to come along in a while. Later tonight episode six will show and viewers will be able to watch episode seven early by using the HBOGO (mobile) app. I'll do that and watch it again next Sunday!
I find it's a nice little show but if it's anything like the books there will need to be several seasons? I just hope there's no Axe halfway through like Stargate Universe.
Caught up on episode 5, a really good episode the story is progessing well, episode 6 will be interesting.
It got renewed for a second season after the first episode of season 1 aired. HBO is that confident. I've read that the first couple of books will be covered by as season apiece, and the later books will need a couple of seasons to do them justice. On that basis, someone worked out that George has 7 years to write the final books.
Well just watched episode 6, the show is defiently going places now, Spoiler Have the death of the dragon, and the real dragon being shown. Kingdoms about to go to war with each other, though cant see robert lasting much longer.
The crowning is a pretty pivotal scene in the books, and I've been wondering how they'd do it on the show...As it turns out, pretty damn well, just like everything else. Spoiler Arrrgh! Why did they have to make Syrio such a brilliant character? I love the scenes between him and Arya. If you've read the books, you'll know why I'm miffed Spoiler Also - the girl playing Osha (the wildling girl that attacks Bran in the forest) - she looks familiar. Is it the same woman who played Tonks in the Potter movies?
