Hey guys just installing windows 7 now I choose to install it to my SSD and then after doing step 2 (Expanding files) it had to restart - that's fine the problem is I hadn't set my SSD as device for the computer to try and boot from - should be an easy case of looking for the SSD on the boot settings and selecting it - the only hitch is it can't be found.

It's showing up on system status and it is showing up for windows but not as a device able to be booted from in the boot settings section of my BIOS :/?

I set my SATA mode to AHCI too - any ideas fellas!

    Thank you all so much!

Do you mean just moving the sata cable from my samsung 1TB to my SSD and visa verca?

I'll certainly give it a shot but would you care to explain why this might change things - I don't doubt you I'm just curious :D?

And I can indeed confirm trig that yes indeed I do :)naughty:).

Just swap the cables at the motherboard end, if your BIOS is set to see the SATA port with the 1Tb as the boot drive then swap the SATA cables on the Motherboard so that the SSD is now in the SATA port your 1Tb was previously in...

I believe the BIOS just looks at the SATA port for the boot priority not the actual device connected.

    Hope that makes sense!

Now tomorrow just a matter of placing my soundcard again as my sound seems dead quiet and possibly reapplying thermal paste/cooler :p.
