Thanks Everyone! While the paintjob is work in progress let me show you the mouse what is built a few months ago and its fits perfectly for the Gymkhana Mod. Project: Monster Mod II No text-details for now but if you have any questions I answer you.
Dude, you just took it to a hole new level with that mouse @ nutman, i would suspect that he just took the shell off, and did his magic on it
WooW! Thats a nice mouse mod and your right it fits perfectly with the build theme! ... is it comfy though ?
Nutman - Hope you don't mind that I write the short version. -I drawed the logo with printed template then dremeled out then filed to perfect -I covered the logo-hole with thin plastic then painted it with UV Reactive Green paint. -I mount to UV LEDs to the interior of the mouse so the UV paint is reactive. -The chassis has 3main parts. The upper the sanded and painted matte black (2 lyr black 1 lyr lacque). The middle part is unchanged and the lower piece got two monster vinyl stickers to the sides. -The mousepad is.. Regular mousepad with matte-laminated self-adhesive vinyl-based print applicated to the top. Total hours: 10 hrs Budget: ~26$, ~18EUR (5.000 HUF) RedManc - Yes, totally comfortable Some of you wrote that some pictures was broken but i fixed it for now. Maybe the reason was the hungarian image-server didn't work with all proxys and countries. I hope you see all the pictures now. If you can't I suggest to visit my up-to-date picasa gallery. http://bit.ly/GymkhanaMod Sorry for the inconvenience.. Have a nice day!
-WORKFLOW- Day 20: 2011-08-17 / Task: Masking I didn't have time to be with the painter when he was painting the white basecolor so I can only show you the results. I like it but there was some inaccuracy what I have to fix. I was mesmerized by the case shines bright white then I apply the maskings for the black paint. These masks were done in a popular vector designer sftware. After this I went home because the painter has another things to do. Day 21: 2011-08-18. / Task: Polish and details In the morning Iwent to the painter - I had a baaaad feeling on the way to him - and yup: after the black spraying the painter didn't wait enough and he peeled off (not peed) the maskings and a ruined the surface at some spot. Doesn't matter - 2 hours of sanding done by me fixed he surface problems. After this the entire case was polished to glossy. The painting was done so I took the case home. First thing I did is the frontpanel. As you can see I used hotglue for the mounting the grille. Then I place the plexiglas to the sidepanel and fixed it with black screws. As the rally cars have my case has also window-names. Driver side = Driver name on top, co driver below with flags before them The fangrill came to its final shape. Black painting and green vinyl. Oh and the screws on the back gots some DC emblems. Details to the bone! Let me tell you I still have many ideas in my pocket Incoming pictures...: The more you work the more you're thirsty. Cheers!
I'd give you rep, but I already gave you for the mouse mod and now, apparently, I'm not allowed to give you any more before I've given some to someone else - and since I really don't feel like giving someone else some rep just to be able to give you more rep, please take joy in the fact that I'm going to give you rep as soon as I got some rep to give!
