    I visited that shed (and yes, it really is a shed). It is the Museum of Victorian Science in the tiny village of Glaisdale, near Whitby in the UK. It is a one-man show run from the garden shed of a private collector. He does a nearly two-hour demonstration of all instruments, in doing so touching on all the important scientific discoveries in history, in chronological order. Highly recommended.
