my mate showed me this last night, had me giggling for a good hour

 

what i don't like about knife is that there are no dedicated knife key.

quick knife you press knife key
take out knife you hold down knife key

many times, i've pressed it slightly too long and doing a knife animation at enemy that is 10 feet away at me.



im a long way to go for MAV only half way to that gun before MAV. C4 is almost mine and so is M320 though.

that video was posted on mumble channel by Minimal_Fuss i think. everyone on mumble was laughing their heads off at that video.

 

I thought the insta-knife was the middle mouse key and if you held down the middle mouse key you get the dedicated knife. I also thought 5 was the dedicated knife key.

in that case, quick knife key should be quick knife ONLY.

According to the post on Battlelog it's going to be an open large scale test for the final weekend. So i'd expect more servers and definitely no password.

 

So now I can't play BF3 until Tuesday, it becomes available. FFFUUUUUU

I'm moving house this weekend so probably wont get to play until release (sorting out internet etc etc)

Got the C4 yesterday, up to now not tried it but I think it has much potential , will test it tonight.

Please explain this someone, wtf, there's more than one knife key? Whatever for??

 

press E quickly: one knife animation.
hold down E: knife animation then knife stays in hand. so left button becomes knife, and the action becomes a lot faster.

just learnt today that 5 does the same thing as holding down E, so i don't understand the need for holding down E. on controller, i see the need, zero reason for on PC.



E is my knife key btw, F is my use key. due to the old days where there is lean.

 

So, my mate downloaded the BF3 Beta on his PS3. I have more knife kills on that than I do on the PS3.. knife kills are so much easier on a console.

PS3 - 14 in a game
PC - 0, none at all.
