    Maybe, but it's not unwelcome!

If it makes you feel better I would send you some of my washing...

Sorry Bindi, going to bump you into 3rd place for power on hours!

SSD make and model: Crucial C300 (Purchased new from retail, used for Steam)
    Size: 256GB
    Power on hours: 7976
    Drive Life Remaining:100%

SSD make and model: Crucial C300 (Refurb from Crucial, used for Win 7)
    Size: 256GB
    Power on hours: 1892
    Drive Life Remaining:100%

Seems to be even less meaningful than the SSDLife program's data, to be honest.

The drive life remaining is the same as the health figure on mine but otherwise scroll down the list at the bottom and it'll show it as a separate line.

IMO performance is more than enough without RAID, and it's not worth double the price.

Agree. I want TRIM and am happy with the drive's performance.

    SSD 1 ........... 512g M4 100% health 1399 hours

    SSD 2 ........... 512g M4 backup drive 100% health 718 hours

    SSD 3 ........... 240g Corsair Force 100% health 1016 hours

But as people prob know, its pretty much irrelevant, as ive had rma on ssds even at 100% health, so no point going by that.

Judging by your sig, spending twice as much for slightly better performance is a strategy you're a fan of

Well, if you wanted more than a minimal amount of SSD space then it wouldn't be double the price...

...though you naturally need to buy based on your usage & disk controller - there being a trade off between low end & sequential speeds when you look at R0...

...so generally, for an OS/apps/etc drive with 6Gb/s SSD(s) on a decent (intel/amd) 6Gb/s controller, you're better off with a single 120/128GB than 2x60/64GBs (but would be better with 2x120GBs than 1x240GB SF)...

...but if you had an unusual usage (or weren't going for SFs & depending on your r-e-w cycles) then this could vary either which way.

Though, as you've bought a SF then you don't need trim...

...although only needing 120GB then you've almost certainly made the better choice by going for the single 120GB...

Even though im prob still 10 years off needing the 039 firmware update, i actually did it today.

I took a gambe, i normally replug them into sata 2 ports on ide mode.

But i decided to go into CBA mode, i updated them in ahci and on a sata 6g connector.

Youl be happy to know it updated just fine.

If this helps other users, im using a gigabyte ud9 on its sata 6g marvel controller.
