5/10. Decent CPU but poor clock speed. No RAM speed. Good amount of storage. SSD Dated graphics card which is very power hungry for the performance.

 

Apologies for lack of detail. RAM is 1333Mhz, timings are 9-9-9-24 1T (standard?). I actually want to overclock my CPU to 4GHz at minimum (5GHz would be ideal, I have no experience here and that may be very optimistic!). I'd consider a Corsair H100, seems more for beginners? I didn't realise a pitchfork could sting all the way from Castleford. No I use the SSD because I wanted a dedicated drive for ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead. I didn't want to potch around with a RAMdisk so I thought a SSD would be the next best thing. Actually that's why I want to overclock, as I want ArmA to run far more quickly. I'm thinking of upgrading my GPU to a EVGA GTX 580. Does that sound good?

I'll notch you up to 7/10 for now knowing your RAM speed and for planning upgrades and also for having an SSD dedicated to 1 game 5GHz is probably too big of an expectation, only the 980X/990X achieve that without using insane voltages. But I like the crazy attitude. And I'd probably hang fire on the GPU upgrade 'til Kepler's out, even if it's just so the 580 comes down in price.

My pitchfork stretches nearly all over the world lol And my board's currently under RMA so I sold my RAM. Gonna purhcase some more once the board's back.

 

5/10 because you did have motherboard, Oh no you notice the 990x and the rampage III is back and the HDD is a ssd and a normal HDD in one.

@ Tangster the H70 which is now a H80 isn't the normal type its incorporated into a cooling design I did its a lot more efficient than the standard coolers.

 

Damn it Tel stop changing your rig lol......If your 980X and Rampage II are getting lonely I'll keep them company 9.5/10, get some more memory

 

Yea memory is the next thing on the list, The other stuff is going in to another case soon.

Obviously Bobby's is great haha. but a lowly i5 means you only get a 9

(but for having such a sweet custom build is clearly always going to be a 10)

Epic CPU, great mobo, nice SSDs, but shame about the single GTX 570 (not that I can talk)

Needs an OC as well (again I can't really talk ) to get the most out of the epic CPU.
