I just installed a H80 and now my pc is not working and I am now puzzled. It starts up then turns itself off. A couple of seconds later it turns ltself on again. I can gear the HDD working. The two green light are on for the power going to the Gpu but on the screen nothing.

    Please can anyone help

Any chance you knocked a ram stick? If the RAM is fine have you got power going to the H80 pump?

possible short from the new cooler or the cooler is faulty. Have you tried the old cooler back on the cpu to rule it out?

^ Is my thought too. As ThirtyQuidKid said, swap the coolers back and try it. If all works fine again then plug the H80 back in and try that. If it starts switching off then back on again then there could be an internal wiring fault with the H80.

The problem is very easy, experienced it with my H80 aswell before I threw it out of the window.

The cooler doesn't make contact with your CPU, so your CPU shuts off due to overheating. The mounting-mechanism is faulty and there's a 2mm gap between cooler and CPU, no matter how tight you screw it in place. The standoffs from the backplate are simply too long.

Corsair watercoolers are a piece of crap alltogether, just like any other of those all-in-one watercoolers we've seen lately. Simply not worth the money.

Not true Ive had a couple of H80s and a H100 and now Ive got a Antec khuler 920 and Ive had no problem whatsoever with any of the coolers. I only had a slight problem with the latest H80 i bought which was due to the pump making noise and that was down to a bad batch. they cool better then any air cooler i have had.

just cause you have had one bad experience doesn't mean something is bad for everyone

Right re did it from scratch. I found the back bracket must go a certain way which they do not tell you. Also now using the standard fans.

It is now working no problems. It is nosier than my old H50 but is now working fine.

lol what kind of noise is it making? is it coming from the pump by any chance? Is the noise like some air is trapped?

so it was due to high temps those shut-downs ,right?

about the corsair coolers . I have an H60 and a H100 .it's both running flowlessly without any noises or overheating. I find those closed w/c systems awesome.

I've had the H50, the H80 and the Antec 620. All of them are utter failure. Either due to technical problems (H80) like described above, or due to loud pumps making aweful clicky noises.

It's not only a single bad experience, but three total letdowns for me. My current setup now uses a Prolimatech Samuel 13 with an Apache and it's just as silent and well cooling as a H80/Antec620.

have you tried the fans off a fan controller or off the motherboard to see if they work?

Tried that bud. It's definitely the connection by the pump

New bud will see if they RMA it. My H50 has been brilliant and now wish I could get another but will look out for one.
