If you have numlock pad on your board (don't know what board you got) then turning that on will allow entry of alt codes.

Alt 0163 or Alt 156 will provide £ Pound sterling
Alt 0128 € Euro currency symbol

Or if you want the cool quick version all the kids are using.... :thumb:

    Ctrl+Alt+5 gives you €
    Shift+Ctrl+Alt+4 gives you £
and whilst I'm spouting forth, in case anyone ever needs it: Ctrl+Alt+- provides ¥

You are all welcome :D :bows and waits for rep:

    BTW Longweight, nice clack :naughty:

Thank you! It's an F2 so not top quality but the money is going to a good cause!

Those shortcuts are awesome! I couldn't find them anywhere on the net!

I can't give you rep at the moment as I recently rep'd you!

You need to stop winning at keyboard things!

Got my TA typewriter yesterday. The Cherry blue legend dye subs are awesome of course... but not as awesome as the bizzare MX linear whites that are half between reds and blacks. Will need to practice desoldering so I can get these out... blasted plate mount.

I just sold my Rosewill with blues, I could have made a lot more money on it, but I got what I paid for it +$1. I sold it for $65 + Shipping and on newegg it's $110 + Shipping so he got a good deal and I got rid of it.

Hopefully my poker comes soon. I sent payment on the 19th of July to imsto so it should be here semi-soon..... I hope

That opinion won't get you far in this thread :)

That's coming from someone who owns one. At least until it sells on Saturday anyway!

In all seriousness though, unless you have issues with your motor skills or a broken keyboard, any switches - or for that matter domes - will do you for gaming. Typing is the thing that's most transformed by mechs in my opinion.

I've said this many times and I'll say it again, blues aren't bad for gaming, they just take a while to get used to. The switch with the lowest learning curve are reds, IMO they might not even have a learning curve. Blue defiantly do tho

    We've all said it ;)

They are fine to game on for most people. But the release point is above the actuation point so you can get missed key presses.

George said it too: any switch will do once you get used to it

And like Shirty said, when gaming you won't give a tosh what switch you have. It's true with me, I don't notice blues or anything. The time when double tapping blues (have a chance to) fail for me is when typing!!

I've given that advice before too, buy the switch that you like best when typing!

That's good to know. With regards to the duty, is that using his standard shipping option or the alt eu shipping method?

Definitely his shipping method! The alt EU is for people in the EU who want to get shipped via the UK so as to avoid customs, but it takes 2 months. Not for us
