i put the other cooler back in yes but nothing at all the motherboard is around a year old do you think i'll be able to get replacement or not
No idea to be honest. Either start an RMA process with whoever you bought it from and see where it goes or grab one of the cheap 1155 boards that are currently on the marketplace.
Just tried the the budget stuff with the beast case power switch and it worked, so definately is the board no idea how the board broke? when i had the board out of the case I put it on top of the original board box Can't believe how its failed already and at a bad time too cant really afford a new board will have to wait a bit and keep using the budget pc though before buying another What is a decent 1155 board with native usb 3 and native sata 6gbs also this is to be used with i5
Just go for the best Z77 board you can afford from Asus, Gigabyte or ASRock. All of them should have native USB 3 and SATA 6.
Thank you. Though I was hoping to save up for a 670 in future when they get outdated and people sell them used looks unlikely now with this unless novatech give me a replacement board I saw an asus z77 for about £80.
Why not look at something like a 560Ti or a 570? Anything more is overkill if your only gaming at 1920 x 1080 and you could pick up a 560Ti for ~£100 and a 570 for not a lot more. Its what I'm looking to do in the near future.
I'm hoping to upgrade when GTA 5 comes because its that I want it for, at the moment i'm actually gaming at 1360x768 so GTX460 768mb is enough however not enough for gta 4 with the graphics mods, at the moment its just gta 4 with the graphics mods i can't max
Same here actually My sig rig handles GTA IV fairly well but I can't max it either: Thats from the benchmark. The FPS does drop a bit when a lot of stuff is going on but its perfectly playable at those settings and it looks really good too.
With the graphics mods I only get 19fps, without it runs fine 30-40 this is with i5 2400 aswell and 8gb ram
Are the mods worth it though? I mean, I love eye candy as much as the next man but I'd much prefer a game that runs smoothly to one that looks a bit better but runs badly
i took out my budget pc stuff and put them in the beast pc and now nothing works, i switched it on fans turned but black screen, ive tried another gpu aswell but no picture, i cant believe both my pcs arn't working, I actually feel like crying the only internet access I have at the moment through my PS3 which i'm using to type this on
msi z77a G41 is this board any good and for ssds, need to get something sorted quick and that looks the cheapest z77 board
See if you can grab this maple. I know its not Z77 based but it would run rings around that MSI board, it still has the features you want, USB 3 and SATA 6 and it will accept Ivy Bridge processors with a BIOS update
Hi maple. Just a thought but have you considered selling/ getting rid of your pc parts and buying a complete system? From someone like misco you can get a fairly decent system with windows 7 and the beauty is that they will give you 3 years on site support! You could have help at hand the next day to help fix any problems. Its just a thought because you do seem to suffer with a fair amount of issues which means you really would get your moneys worth from the on site support. All the best hope you get the systems running
I've put a lot of money into my beast pc though I used to buy pre-built but each one failed infact the last I bought failed in an hour! Customer services are always so bad when things go wrong Hopefully I can get a new board for my beast pc and when I put it in, hopefully i'll never have to take it out again I have no idea whats gone wrong with the board on the budget pc, I got the board from here quite recently aswell
Maple, a thought. Did you use any parts from the beast PC on the bits from the budget PC when you swapped them over? I'm just wondering if a faulty PSU or something is killing boards.
Can you remember what you used? Also, did you try the power supply from the budget PC on the beast PC?
