Now made in Texas, with an electric drivetrain.

I used to make the instrument clusters for these. Jaguar once brought a prototype to my workplace for a fitting. :dremel:

That's what the 40 in the model name means - 40 inches tall.
These days several kit versions are available. Try Tornado Sportscars

As for me, I'd like something with a similar power-to-weight ratio to a Bugatti Veyron but costing less than 20grand.

I'd rather build a 'busa-powered Caterfield/Fisher Fury that ride around in that monstrosity!

A Vette Stingray would be my more unrealistic dream car. I plan to build a custom one at some point in my future, especially if/when I can build a garage to house the project.

This is probably my favorite, built by Brent Jackson with a 1000HP Nelson Racing Engine:

Once again, not a fan of the wheel choice though!

What's the point of this thread you bought a land rover we get it.

I want a Pagani zonda I might win the lottery in the next few years then I too will make a thead about how I got my dream car.......

But when I do you can only post cars that you can afford so they will all be crap.

The issue is that the thread makes no sense, as pointed out several times.

A dream car, by definition, is not affordable or a realistic prospect of ever owning without a lottery win or some supreme bit of luck broadly speaking. Therefore only being able to list cars you'd like to own & can actually afford means they aren't dream cars, they are just cars.

Well done for buying a car that you wanted & could afford, but it is not a dream car by any means ( a dream car would be a rare, exotic or classic model that you had pinned to your wall as a kid, not some run of the mill 4x4 or 2/4 door runabout; I'd like an F40 & a GTR34, and a Challenger, and the APC from Aliens etc etc... ).

Spam trap thread is spam trap...

I disagree I dream car can be something you work hard for and eventually buy....

'I'd like an F40 & a GTR34, and a Challenger, and the APC from Aliens etc etc...'

those cars are more like 'fantasy' cars.....will never happen...at least a dream car is possible!!

Some dreams are more achievable than others in that case then.

This... Should have my own next summer if i get the job i got an interview for on Thursday (im the only one been interviewed!)

What i will be looking for is an engine swap and it to be boosted already, the rest ill do, and that video will be my inspiration, pretty much spot on what im after.

end result will be 300/350bhp, which in a very light car like that is like sh*t off a shiny shovel.

Now that is a sweet car, im the same as you, would rather buy a "normal" car and then modify it, I have a golf GTI 1.8T AUM only 150BHP standard but hope to have it up to 250 by next summer, also going to strip it out inside and make it into a nice little track car, sorting the handling and brakes out first and then onto the engine side of things.

Okay then, let's change the thread title to "what car(s) do you realistically aspire to own in the future" :p

For reals, once (if, ever?) I get the Toyota thing out of my system, I'd love a quick Honda of some sort :thumb:
