Peripherals Mechanical Keyboards

Forgive me, but does this not null the point of the switch tester? Switch testing when your keyboard arrives with it seems silly?

 

You have a point there of course. Some bad wording from my side. Just thinking out loud what would be a good solution. What do you think would be a good and reasonable solution?

Perhaps if you subsequently order a keyboard through the CM Store you get the full price of switch tester or postage refunded?

 

Where's the best place to get a full 105-key US layout Ducky board in the UK, do we reckon?

That's what I wanted to buy. The problem was, I couldn't justify dropping that ££ on a keyboard when it was in stock. D'oh.

I'll drop them a line. There are a couple of sellers on eBay but they're £40 steeper...

 

That ducky keyboard is SUCH an awesome board. and that roccat mouse is nice - I like the Kone shape, I used to have one and then the scroll wheel got upset and the mouse found itself hitting a wall when it made me lose at some game (which escapes me now). I think that's potentially why I stopped playing so many games, as it cost me lots of money in replacement peripherals.

 

Apart from longweight (who I know has used them), has anyone used smartimports? Any feedback?

I think the main thing would be finding a cheaper way to post it - I wouldn't want to buy a board after the switch tester and so the 'get the cost of the switch tester back' deal wouldn't apply to me...

There's a thought - would the 'get the cost of the switch tester back' deal include a postage refund too? If not you're still going to be out €13 for the shipping even if you get the €13 for the switch tester back again.

It is - Duck v1.5 pcb, duck v1 case, ergo clear switches, clear switch housing - if it was mine I would bung loads of LEDs in it and make it shine like a mad thing

Clear switch tops surely are wasted without led. It's the whole reason for them in my view to amp up and distribute the led light.

 

Now I want that done to my pure and a clears conversion, but have no keyboard funds. Small person in household and silly season make a very poor GMC..
