Looks like a really neat job, nicely done. White case and red plate... it's just crying out for a Red Alert set!

Well done man! I still need to finish filing down the rubber layer of it. Got all the bits around outside, now the internal corners...

 

Of course it now means I have another black case spare. And though it looks quite reasonable in the image there are one or two aspects that I am not as quite happy with but painting this case has taught me how I might do things differently and hopefully better.

 

Will need to keep my eye open that particular set.

 

Those number keys have a different legend on - what's that (as I'm pretty sure it's not Cherry)

 

I might have a spare if you're interested, I can't see the pic you posted at work so i'm not sure what layout it'd need to cover.

That said, i imagine another groupbuy will be run sooner or later, it seems to have proved popular so far.

The caps were made by SP, i'm assuming it's their standard legend, or one that was picked by whoever ran the GB.

 

Kronos' board is a standard ANSI TKL but the pic of the RA set has a different number row that I don't recognise - it is the standard RA set elsewhere though...

 

There were Red Alert sets with grey number keys etc too, no? Or is that something completely different?

Must keep my eyes peeled for one of the white/red sets. They're quality.

I grabbed that shot from a thread here. You're right though, different legends on the number row, you can see the standard SP legends on the white numbers in the other shots. I can't tell from the text whether it's part of RA at all, actually.

 

Does anyone know if that Commodore set (that Phinix was taunting me with earlier) will be run again anywhere?

I have red on white mods set but all my other red alerts have been solds

Red alert came in all the red / white / grey combinations for all the sets. (at least klaxon did, I don't know about OG korean, RA2.0 was just red and white)

 

That's a picture of the original Red Alert you grabbed there. The numbers row was done in an alternate legend font SP has they call isotherm instead of the usual gorton font that's most commonly used.
