startcycles Although I can't seem to access the site atm so no idea if they have any more in stock. There was a discount code as well so total cost was just over £22.

Mine turned up yesterday, can't fault it :thumb:

Yeah I'm going to do the same with a visit to the Nike factory shop at the local outlet here next weekend. I'm in bad need of some new running shoes and jogging bottoms too.

Went on a small spree last night celebrating my victory in my disability case.

    In no particular order...

    an ASRock Z77 Extreme11

    an EVGA SuperNOVA 1000W PSU

Piles of LutroO custom 16ga wire, crimps, and sleeving (in brown)

Two Samsung 840 EVO 250GB drives

    a shedload of wood veneer

a pile of very specific screws and cone washers

    gold leaf

    so I'm certainly planning something.

TGS, you do know that you have to get a welcome mat with a pentagram symbol on it with a statement of "leave your soul at the door" :D

    Not recently paid, but it's arrived now. One of 300 models with specific reg plate and build number plaques (I'm 86/300) of my RS;

I need to apply the reg-plate decals.

Been a bit of an expensive weekend:

    - Toshiba Encore
    - Canon EOS 1100D
    - EOS 1100D "starter" accessory kit (Carry bag, lens cloth & 8GB SD card)

The camera was another purchase that we (my wife and I) have been eyeing up for a while. We were going to get the Nikon D3100 but instead got the EOS 1100D & accessory kit for under £250 from Argos. This ended up being £40 cheaper than the D3100 camera only (with lens) and more like £80-100 once you factor in the accessories.

I have eyeing up the Encore for a while and with the recent price cut to £200, I couldn't say no any longer. I also picked up a Sandstrom Bluetooth Keyboard & mouse and a Logik Note 8.0 case / stylus which despite not being for the Encore, fits well enough. The KB/M was £20 and the case/stylus a eye watering £7.50 :p.

The Encore is a peppy little thing. Plugged into a monitor, keyboard & mouse you would struggle to notice its modest hardware. The Baytrail Atom is such an improvement on its predecessor that it makes you wonder why it Intel took so long to bring something decent to the fore.

Gaming wise it trundles along well enough. No it won't play any recent game at anything like a playable framerate, but older titles such as Oblivion and Half Life 2 are perfectly playable @ medium settings (native resolution). I need to dig out my external DVD drive so I can get BF2 loaded up as that should play quite nicely.

I bought an Encore a few weeks ago, to use for work. Its a great little tablet imo, My only issue is mine seems to freeze occasionally when it get plugged in to charge from the wall adapter, it doesn't really cause a great deal of problems though as it get chucked on charge when I go to bed and not during the day.

I've ordered a case from Aliexpress which should be here any day now, I have got a stylus but don't use it any more as I found it a little pointless.

I haven't tried gaming on it, but might have to load up some old classics for when I'm working away :thumb:

Nice. I will get a proper case for it eventually but this one will do for now. The only downside is the openings on the side don't line up properly which means you have to take it out to charge.

If your interested I just loaded up BF2 and played it basically maxed out at native resolution without much fuss. Initially it kept crashing to the desktop but as soon as the KB & mouse were back in range it was fine. Very odd but I am happy.

Old classics and most things that run the source engine should be fine. I will be trying out Fallout 3 when I get a chance to install it. I have shared my laptops DVD drive to allow remote installing without a external DVD-RW. Works well enough and saves £30 or so.

I just need to save my recovery "media" to an external USB drive and that should free up around 5GB of room on the main partition.
