I bet it kills the feel of the board and severely hampers your speed.

    Also...

    Nerf bullets!

    Datahand my ar$e!

That's obviously a Jerry-rigged SGC interface for the Ancient weapons platform in Antarctica.

Sadly it's just a keyboard :p there is a guy over at gh who has reversed engineered one in a bid to build his own, and he's doing alright as well. Datahands don't get made anymore you see.

There's also the Microwriter, which is a single-handed keyboard still in small-scale production today.

This will be my first full day using the TypeMatrix. Wish me luck!

Oh, god, this is doing my nut in. How long before it stops feeling like I'm going to die every time I type more than a sentence? I should have opted for the Dvorak layout cover, it couldn't have been any worse...

part of me would like to try a chording keyboard, particularly to see if it'll let me type without using my (slightly knackered) left hand. but i cant type properly as it is so learning to type properly on something new might be a bit much.

Not sure if I'd try one invented by the director of Zulu either.

If you want to try a one hand chording device perhaps a BAT? They seem to be much easier to come across and are usually cheapish ($30-60) when they appear on ebay. I think they look a bit easier to grasp use of and probably more ergonomic too. They also use Cherry MX which is a bonus if you want to adjust springs, switch type, caps etc.

Finally joined the Mechanical keyboard bandwagon after purchasing a Razer Blackwidow Expert.
Really weird to get use to, but my end up getting rid of it quite quickly as I didn't notice that the keyboard doesn't have a backlight on that model when I bought it.

So I am now trying to decide between another Blackwidow but an Ultimate or a Ducky Shine 3 with blue switches and blue LED's...

I know right? The regular pcb-mounted ones are hard to come by but the plate-mounted ones are impossible, save for a few donor boards.

Glad I flogged my surplus before that GB went live lol... I will still be ordering some from there actually - mostly so I don't have to bend my own 7x spacebar wires
